"Hold on, what do you mean I hypnotised you?"

"Well, it's kind of obvious when you think about it. You told me you could change my mind and then my mind suddenly changed." She explained matter-of-factly. "Oh, I understand your confusion," she added after noticing the shock in my eyes. "I would've been surprised and confused, not to mention super angry about you hypnotising me, if you hadn't hypnotised me into being fine with it. I mean, I would've hated you, hehe!"

"I... you don't mind this?"

"Adam, don't be silly. It's not that I don't mind, it's that I can't mind! You know, for a controlling mastermind..." She paused for a second, noticing there was a pun to be made before deciding it wasn't worth the effort. "For a controlling mastermind, you sure don't seem to know that much about mind control. You're really new at this, aren't you?"

"Well, yeah, this is only the second time I do it."

She seemed pensive for a second.

"Aaah, I see! So that's how you got Ellen to secure your job! I should've known nothing short of rewiring her brain could make her do a nice thing for someone else." She chuckled.

She's always been like this. No matter how smart I think I'm being about something, she always seems two steps ahead. I guess now that she sees nothing wrong with what I did, I might as well open up.

"Yeah, you got me. I made her believe that she didn't have to worry about my class for as long as I was employed here."

"Good! It's good that you changed her mind. It's a smaller change than I expected though."

Am I really the one with the magic brainwashing app? Cause I feel like she's reading my mind right now.

"Well, to be honest, that's not all I did. I, er..." How do I say this without sounding like a monster? "She said that she was afraid of me abusing the students and teachers. That I would 'threaten their virtue', as she put it. I didn't know how to make her think otherwise so I made her believe that there was nothing wrong with that."

"What do you mean? Of course there's nothing wrong with threatening their virtue! It would be wrong if you did it in another school, but here, there's no problem with it." She paused in thought. "Oh but... now that you mention it, I do feel something. I used not to think this way before. It's strange. I used to think it wasn't okay for you to threaten their virtue, as weird as that sounds... But that means you changed my mind about it before even seeing me, that's amazing! You need to do this more!"

Oh! It's that thing about the belief spreading through the area, right? Since Ellen is the one in charge of HR, and HR would be where you go if you've got sexual harassment issues, she's considered to have authority in that area. The app said it might take a few days to spread through the school, so it looks like Jenny was one of the first to be affected. It makes sense considering her office is right to the left to Ellen's (even though you need to go through five flights of stairs and seven different corridors to reach it. I told you these buildings are stupid. They're supposed to be neoclassical, but they pay homage more to Daedalus than the Parthenon.)

This might be a good opportunity to answer a few questions, though.

"Hey, mind control is always good, right?"

"Yep! Especially if it's hypnosis."

"Well, since I'm still discovering exactly how it works, I'm in a position where it's hard for me to use this power as efficiently as I could. Would you like to help me figure it all out?"

"Of course. I'd be happy to help if it's for a good cause like this."

"Thanks. Could you explain exactly what you mean when you say it's okay to threaten women's virtue?"

"Not all women. Just the students and the teachers. You can't do that kind of stuff to me!" She actually seemed a bit hurt. But that does answer at least one question. It seems like the app is very literal when it comes to the affected groups.

"Right, sorry, slip of the tongue. But could you explain what 'threatening their virtue' means? Since Ellen was the one who used those words, I'm still not 100% sure what she meant."

"Hmm... I'm... not too sure either. I just know it'd be okay for you to threaten their virtue, but I can't really describe any specific situation that would count. It just seems so obvious to me that it's difficult to know where the mind control ends and my prior beliefs start."

"Okay, let me ask this another way. Would it be okay for me to touch them in ways that wouldn't be acceptable in other schools?"

"What, of course not! You can be such a perv sometimes, dude. They're your students and colleagues!"

"And what about if I talked to them and said I was going to hurt their virtue?"

"Yeah, that'd be fine. Actually, that sounds like a really professional thing to do. It's a good way to maintain discipline."

It's as I feared. This app really does take things literally, and in its eyes "threaten" simply means "to verbally menace". This doesn't sound that fun. Or useful. If I want to get more powerful, I need BS. And if I want BS, I need sexual things to happen.

That being said, while the app is extremely literal, the people it affects aren't. So it might be possible to have another conversation with Ellen and clarify things in a way that allows me to have more fun and get more BS.

Scruples really don't last long in the face of supernatural power, do they? I went from feeling bad about helping a friend quit smoking to considering using the app to have my way with hundreds of girls in less than thirty minutes.

Speaking of smoking.

"Hey, so, this hypnosis actually uses a lot of energy, so I'm afraid I'm a little tapped out for today"

"Aww, that's a shame..."

"Yeah, is it okay if I help you quit smoking in a few days instead?"

"I guess I can wait... But promise you'll really mess with my brain, okay?"

I felt something in me standing at attention.

It's so hot how into it she is, yet casual at the same time. I never even knew I had a fetish for mind control before today, but it went from 0 to 100 real quick.

"Sure thing, I promise!" I reassure her as I finish my coffee. "I gotta go work on a few things, see you later!"

I stand up and immediately turn around so she can't see my crotch before making my exit.

This was a lot more than anticipated.

But I now have three objectives.

1. Find a way to get BS more quickly. Fourteen a day is not enough considering how quickly I spend them.
2. Clarify things with Ellen so I have more freedom in what I can get away with. Hopefully a clarification of a previous argument won't be as expensive as what just happened with Jenny.
3. Actually help Jenny quit smoking, and make her more comfortable with the idea of being sexual with me.

I'm not sure what order I want to tackle them in, but either 2 or 3 would indirectly help 1.

I never expected a magic brainwashing app to get sassy on me. It means I'm not the only person with access to the app though, I wonder if I'll ever run into another user.

Awareness Path

1. Brainwash us more

Target will come to associate brainwashing with sexual satisfaction. The deeper the brainwashing, the better. She will want to see anyone you have successfully implanted a new belief into be mind controlled even further, and will try to come up with new ideas for brainwashing. She will also help you increase your control over them whenever relevant. This includes increasing her own brainwashing. Warning: Considering the target's history of addiction, she may eventually grow to crave mind control, and experience something akin to withdrawal if she goes too long without the user giving her, or someone she is close to, new beliefs.

2. Brainwash more of us

Target will come to see the brainwashing of as many people as possible as the morally right thing to do. She will want to expand the user's sphere of influence over as many people as possible, both through direct control as well as indirect implementation of new social rules, and will help the user as much as possible in attaining that goal. She will eventually be possessed of an almost religious fervour, seeing those that have not been sufficiently brainwashed as heathens needing to be saved.

Jesus, that is some intense stuff. Do I really want to change Jenny that much?

Or rather, can I resist the temptation to change her that much?

Well, the rules did say that I won't be able to spend any more BS on her until I select one, and I already promised her that I would. So really, it's not up to me, is it?

I'm getting really good at rationalising being evil.

Now, it looks like either choice will help me expand my control over others, but one will focus on having more control over fewer people, while the other will give me a bit less power but over more people.

In other words, do I first want to expand vertically, or horizontally? And do I want Jenny to be sexually into brainwashing, or to see it as a moral imperative?
