Hugs, food and communication [Pets' POV]

Daisy POV

"You can come out now" I've heard through the door and already felt something was not right from the tone of the voice, the door opened and Nick slumped down by the couch. When I saw him slumped down I decided to do my best to cheer him up!

So I rushed towards Nick, and looks like Chip had the same idea because we fell through the door in unison. Both of us wagging our tails and wanting to cheer him up! ... and hoping he didn't notice us peaking at him and the girl!

We caught him and started squirming around his legs, and then his sides as he sat at our level. He seemed to embrace the hugs and scratched both of our ears. "Thanks guys, I appreciate you wanting to cheer me up." before letting out a sigh and getting up. "No point in moping all day, right? I've got two adorable puppies to take care of after all."

So glad he got our intentions! It definitely put a smile on our snouts! Both me and Chip gave a cheerful "woof!" at that! Honestly we were putting our son through a lot here, and despite all of our fears - he was doing a good job so far! All we could do is support him back!

"So let me see. You guys ate about three hours ago after the walk and the baths. I'll go clean up your bowls and refill them." we waited patiently as he took the bowls and refiled them in the kitchen.

"I know it would interrupt this test, but I would really appreciate it if you could go to this for me." he said when he came back and sat the bowls on the ground in front of us. This time it was pulled pork loin in gelatine.

He started explaining and trying to convince us that we should meet Olivia's parents (so her name was Olivia! ha!). I wasn't sure about this, did he intend to take us as the pets? No. He wouldn't dare.

I start munching on another serving of meat as he kept talking.

Chip's POV

I was already munching on a gelatine covered meat when Nick started trying to convince us that we should attend a party at the girls parent's place.

I already had an idea in mind, but I wasn't going to interrupt the test – not just yet – besides food first.

"You're not gonna answer me?" he finally figured it out "Alright. Fair enough. You're dogs and too focused on food."

Did I hear the frustration in his voice? I chuckled under my nose as he stood up and headed for the kitchen, apparently to make himself some food too.
