"However," Mike said as he scratched his chin in thought, "I could call my teacher and see if she could look over Lauren."

"Would you?" Winifred asked, clapping her hands together briefly. "That would be wonderful if she could! What profession is she in, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well, she's not my main teacher," Mike explained, "but she works part time at the hospital as a pediatrician."

"Even better!" Winnie said with a smile.

Lauren's heart sank as a look of horror etched it's way onto her face. A pediatrician?! She was twenty-years-old, she didn't need a pediatrician looking her over! Nonetheless, she could only whimper in horror as Mike pulled out his cellphone and pressed a button, putting the phone to his ear.

"Hello, Dr. Sampson?" Mike said into the phone, "I'm sorry to bother you, but I'm hear at Katie's reunion, and one of her cousins needs to have a quick examination regarding a possible medical problem." After twenty seconds of silence, Mike nodded his head as he gave the doctor the address of the hotel they were at. "Thank you, Dr. Sampson. I'll see you soon. Goodbye."

Hanging up the phone, Mike turned to Winnie. "She'll be here in about five minutes."

"Thank you so much, Michael." Winifred said as she gave Mike a quick peck on the cheek.

Lauren stood there stupefied, her body breaking out into a cold sweat as the events of today began to sink in. Her mother had just given Mike, an albeit brief, kiss when she was trying to flirt with him... While she was wearing a flipping diaper! And now, a pediatrician was on her way to examine her?!

She couldn't possibly sink any lower than this!
