How relationships work in the family

The Wade family now consists of Jacob, Kandi, Itsuki, Sarah, Angela and Ed.

Jacob grew up in a dysfunctional family with an almost always absent father completely focused on work, but that the few times present behaved in a demanding way towards him and with a housewife mother who instead was the opposite did nothing for home and with him it was as if they were almost roommates more than mother and son. Angela is the last entry into the family Jacob had liked physically just seen but after meeting her liked it even more, so he is trying to do things right, always in his way but I do not intend to make her a ****.
