Chapter 4 by Doobler Doobler

How does he find out about this “Point Transfer” power?

How else? He gets .

“C’mon, c’mon…!” he whispered.

But as the various cards flipped themselves, he knew he had yet another dud 10-roll on his hands.

“Damnit, another Lancelot!? It’s not even the fairy one, how is everyone on reddit getting the hot Servants!?” Leonard Walt seethed from the interior of his car. He had just finished his shift at the grocery store watching people that used the machine check-out, to make sure they don’t steal anything. Not that he could legally stop them, just look threatening.

Which wasn’t easy, considering he was 5 feet 4 inches tall and slightly overweight. He’d call himself a “short king”, but the pounds he’d put on from a sedentary lifestyle both inside and outside of work made him feel more like a hentai geezer, despite his age. Only 23 years old, fresh out of college. Not that it did his résumé any favors.

Sighing. Leonard turned on his car and began the long drive home. “I’d just need one more chance to get something good, I know it. Too bad I gotta pay rent…

Leonard wasn’t irresponsible, by his own metrics. He limited his spending on Gacha game rolls, that was true. But then, that was also the problem. The guy was concerned about a great many things that demanded his attention and money, so the ventures that were supposed to help him let off steam barely alleviated any pressure.

He couldn’t help it, the rush of winning something amazing that was worth thousands of times what he paid for it was invigorating. He blamed a specific moment from his childhood. Basically, he opened a pack of Pokémon cards and pulled a holographic Charizard that still goes for a hefty sum today. That card had been kept safely tucked away in case he ever needed some cash quick, and still sits in his parent’s house in his old room’s desk drawer.

“I could really use that card right about now…” he thought, as he gassed up his car. Prices were rising, and his boss laughed when he asked for a raise.

Soon, his eyes were drawn to a sign in the gas station window: Lottery Scratchers for only $5. He knows he shouldn’t, but nonetheless…

He settles on buying just one, and no more. He’d been meaning to cut back on his drinking, of course. This would be a good incentive to break the habit.

As he chipped away at the covering of the bingo board printed on his ticket, an odd thing presented itself. Four oranges in a diamond position of the 3x3 grid. The key on the back of the ticket named it a “limited prize”.

When Leonard showed the ticket to the cashier, the disinterested employee handed him a yellow envelope, muttering an obligatory “congratulations” as he was shooed out of the cramped interior.

Once he got back to his apartment, he decided to take a look at the contents. It wasn’t money, exactly, but it was an official-looking document.

“The Receiver of this Prize will be gifted [Point Transfer], the ability to exchange any resource of any kind for anything, provided he/she has enough to exchange. This Prize specifically will take the form of [Exchange Rates] and is tempered by [One-Way Ticket]. Have a good day, Mr. Walt.”

Leonard’s jaw dropped. He hadn’t given the cashier his name, and in fact paid for the scratcher in cash, even scrounging around his pockets for spare change to pay for the sales tax.

The glossary on the back specified that if the paper was correct, he could now turn any kind of currency into any other. Turning numbers into other numbers, so to speak.

Immediately he remembered his accounts. “I have… a lot of QP, don’t I?” He muttered, as he tapped through his game’s menus. An account could hold 2,000,000,000 QP at maximum, and he had at least ten accounts with that maxed out figure.

Once he thought about it, a box showed up next to the value, asking how many QP he wanted to exchange. Shuddering, Leonard impulsively put the full amount in. That one was a backup account anyways, no skin off his nose. In moments, four more such accounts were drained.

Amazingly, the box remembered each one, with a total of 10,000,000,000 QP set to be exchanged. What for, he didn’t know yet. Possibilities ran through his mind. Maybe Saint Quartz, so he could make more rolls? Or maybe Grails, he’d been meaning to max-level his Raikou. She’d been his first big-time Waifu Servant that he’d pulled, after all.

10,000,000,000 QP -> 1000 Saint Quartz/50 Holy Grails

“T-That many…!? That’s… 10,000,000 QP per Quartz, and 200,000,000 per Grail…!” Leonard’s mind was moving at a mile a minute. “But… wait. I’m supposed to be able to exchange stuff for anything, what… what are the limits…?

He remembered a couple of Doujins he’d read, of people summoning their Servants from the game into real life. Could that… maybe happen for him…?

10,000,000,000 QP -> 5 Real Servant Summons

Leonard paused. He went to the page for the Berserker Minamoto no Raikou, with Bond 10/10 and the Craft Essence Dōjikiri Yasutsuna unlocked.

So with bated breath, and increasingly tightening pants, he made the exchange for one Real Servant Summon.

Who appears from the summon?
