How could he not be?

"Oh my God, yes!" the woman cried as she climaxed. There was a massive gush of fluids and the three men who'd been taking turns fucking her high-fived. Jill frowned disapprovingly and stepped out from behind her desk.

The teens didn't even notice her until she cleared her throat. They spun around instantly, the one at the keyboard quickly closing the tab.

"Busted," she said sternly. "Next time, at least have the sense to use headphones."

The little creeps ran off and Jill opened the browser settings to wipe the cache. Everytime IT blacklisted a site, the local kids would find another way to stream porn at the library. At least the porn star didn't look like her this time.

Jill was definitely the hottest public library employee in the county. She was used to turning the heads of various library patrons, but it was very disturbing to find that the locals enjoyed the work of a porn actress that bore more than a passing resemblance to her. All those thoughts left her mind when she saw who walked in.

It was Bill, the middle-aged widower who popped in from time to time to borrow the latest Clive Cussler ripoff. He was quiet but seemed sweet. Jill wished she had gotten to know his wife.

Today, though, there was something very different about Bill. Jill noticed that hers wasn't the only head that turned. She couldn't pinpoint anything different about him, but he exuded an aura of... something. Not quite beauty, not quite compassion, not quite serenity, but a bit of each. Jill's breath caught in her throat as she realized he was approaching her.

"Hey, Jill," he said with the same easy nonchalance he always employed. "How's life at the book farm?"

"I, uh, good. I'm good. I mean, it's good." Jill found herself stammering like an idiot. Bill didn't seem to mind. He smiled and her heart melted. Did that mean he liked her?

"Great! Glad to hear it. Those kids still giving you trouble?"

She watched closely as his lips formed the words. They were the same thin lips set into the doughy, wrinkled face he always wore, but today she was enraptured by their movement.

"Yeah! No, I mean, yes, they are." Jill chuckled nervously. She could feel sweat pooling in her armpits and dampening the underside of her bra. "Did you get a haircut, Bill? You look different."

He chuckled too and it sounded like bells in Jill's ears. She felt dizzy.

"Nope, not in a few months. Maybe it's my new aftershave?"

God, the sound of his voice! Jill felt a twitch in the pit of her stomach. She realized her mouth was open and he was waiting for a response.

"Must be it," she mumbled. "Whatever it is, I like it..."

He was still talking, but she was just basking in the glow, swaying gently. Her eyes unfocused and the library became a swirl of blurred colors, they were moving and the sounds kept coming and it felt so good and Jill closed her eyes.
