House party

Ashley had invited half the school while her parents were out of town. She herself was wearing a nice blue cocktail dress while she welcomed everyone into her home. Cars were loaded into the driveway and up and down the street, the music was pumping, the drinks were being tossed around.

Clara was irritated by this as she came down the stairs unable to ignore the thundering speakers. “Ashley why are all these people here!” Clara shouted over the loud music

“What?!” Ashley shouted back.

“Can you turn the music down?!” Clara yelled back.

“Don’t be such a party pooper!” Ashley shouted. “You’re lucky I let you come downstairs.”

“I live here!” Clara shouted.

“Yeah and you’re a big loser that no one cares about,” Ashley said. “Why don’t you go upstairs and hangout with your dorky friends on Discord.”

“I can’t!” Clara shouted. “The music is too loud!”

Ashley turned to a muscular football player and smiled. “Hey, Tommy. You interested in a midnight private showcase?” Ashley asked.

Tommy grinned. “As long as it’s one on one,” Tommy said.

“Ew!” Clara shouted.

Ashley rolled her eyes. “Just because you’re celibate doesn’t mean you can be jealous of me.”

“I happen to have some dignity,” Clara said.

Ashley snickered. “Right, that’s why you were singing Part of Your World in the shower?”

Clara’s face turned red as she had thought she had been alone. The people around them snickered a bit having heard Ashley’s comment. “You’re so annoying!” Clara shouted.

“And you’re a big loser. Go upstairs and don’t come down again,” Ashley said. “Or I’ll tell mom you wet the bed again!”

Clara’s eyes watered as the music at that moment had gone quiet. Everyone turned to look as they snickered and giggled at the comment. Clara turned and ran upstairs, too embarrassed to say anything as Ashley smirked and laughed.

Ashley giggled and said. “Alright, let’s change up the party scene a bit. And I know just what to do…”
