I place the note and my new schedule, into my purse. I place my flats into my locker, as I rather not wear what little of my uniform I have outside of work, and grab my high heels out. I put them on, and squaring my shoulders, walk out the door. I wave goodbye to my new co-workers, who wave back, giggling once I pass by. I find myself smiling back, heading outside, the door closing behind me. I hear it lock as I step away, my mind reminding me I've reached the point of no return now.
