How do you begin?
Homework
You make your way to your desk and call up all the information on hand about Lilith City and its destruction. The population of Nareville and the surrounding areas that were quarantined when Lilith began blessing its inhabitants was around 1.2 million. The city was located in a valley at the confluence of the Narr and Nack rivers. The waterways bounded the city on two sides. This made it much easier to quarantine the residents early in the conflict. The bridges around the city were shut down, patrols were set on the rivers and the highway that ran along the other side of the city was turned into a barricade by military personnel.
Even the humans knew that the first person infected had been a low level bureaucrat who dabbled in devil worship. He spread his infection quickly and in less than a week, 10 % of the city's residents had joined the ranks of the demons. That provoked a response from the government, quarantine zones were set up, but the entire city was eventually cut off from the rest of the world. A holy grid was established to keep the demons in. Those humans who remained in the city were left to the demons and the majority of them were corrupted while the humans struggled to find a cure.
When the humans learned that some of their finest soldiers had been lost to Lilith, they gave up hope of confining the demons until they had been cured. The President ordered tactical nuclear strikes using cruise missiles to several areas of the city. You pulled up the data on those strikes. Deiter Square in the center of town was the principal target. Another principal target was the Dupre home since reports indicated that his suburban neighborhood was totally infected. Warheads with diminishing yields were used at intervals away from those targets. At nearly every point within the city, a blast caused an over-pressure of 20 psi.
The attack was devastating. Approximately 1 million demons reached 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit in less than a second. Nothing within the city was left standing, everyone and everything targeted was consumed in a fireball. It was, literally, Hell on Earth.
You come to the conclusion that none of the demons within Lilith City survived the attack. Alexander was arrogant. He had been a useful tool of Lilith in establishing a foothold in this world, but was, in all likelihood in his den when the attack occurred and was obliterated with most of his followers.
But Marcus had survived. You need to find out who else may have escaped with him. Even in your 'cured' state, you have no doubt that Marcus would be able to recognize your true nature. Someone else will have to interrogate him.
You pick up your phone and dial.
"Yes, ma'am," comes the answer.
"Kyle, I need you to go back to Woodford and get some more intel from Marcus. I need a full picture on where he was and what he was up to when they took him down."
"Will do," comes Kyle's eager response.
"Where'd they catch him anyway?" you ask.
"Camden,"
"Ugh," you reply, "if there was ever a place for a hellmouth, that'd it."
"I'll head there and put together a team from our Philly field office. You work Marcus over and meet me there."

Lilith Restrained
A demons reach...
Story begins twenty two years after the outbreak of the Lilith strain. Lilith city was nuked and its demonic survivors hunted by the Department of Supernatural Defense (DSD). Eventually a vaccine is found. Still it left it's mark upon the world. Rumors of powerful demon survivors, manipulation of the virus for a variety of purposes, and cults dedicated to Lilith, still persist. You enter this world as an agent of the DSD or a COO of a pharmaceutical company. Is it the beginning of the end or merely the end of the beginning?
