Home sweet home...well, not sweet
Liam sighed once he stepped out of the cab.
He really hadn't expected to return to his parent's house so soon, especially when there was a very good reason why he left it in the first place.
Liam pulled out the envelope once more.
{letter signed "Dad"}
To. Liam
I believe you're doing well after moving out of our house. You're smart enough to make a living of your own.
However, you must keep in mind that whether you're outside of the house or not, you still carry our family name.
Come to our house, and I'll have one of my staffs explain why I made contact with you.
{endletter}
Liam sighed and folded up the letter.
"It's probably something related to his buisness..."
He grumbled under his breath.
Although RealDreams had morphed the society for good, people from older generations still had trouble fully accepting that they didn't need to "work" anymore.
Liam's parents were one of those people as well, although Liam still wasn't sure what their jobs were about.
All he recalled was that it required a lot of manpower and there were many Characters and people moving in and out of his parent's house.
"Speaking of... it's very quiet here."
Liam squinted beyond the front gates of his parent's house.
He couldn't see much beyond the gardens where a handful of maids were tending to the greens, but it was seldom that their house was this quiet.
'Maybe their on a vacation...that'll explain why they sent me a letter.'
Liam pressed the visitor bell at the front gate.
After a few seconds, one of the maid trotted over to the gate and swung it open.

"Welcome back home, young master."
Rem greeted Liam in a formal manner and bowed her head.
Liam scowled and waved his hand.
"I'm not back home, I just came here because father wanted me to come here for whatever reason."
Liam handed the letter to the blue-haired maid.
Rem skimmed through the letter, then tilted her head.
"This does match Master's handwriting... although I'm not sure what he is implying in the letter."
Liam frowned.
"Hold on, you don't know? You're supposed to be the head-maid, aren't you?"
Rem shook her head.
"Unfortunately so, young master.
Our master and mistress went on a vacation to dimension D-176 a few hours after you left home.
Their has been steady flow of packages coming from the other side, so I doubt something bad happened to them.
Maybe the letter itself got through one of those? Perhaps you should seek out the other staff members in the house."
Liam let out a loud groan.
This already felt like a sort of trap set up by his father to make him look around their home again more than anything.

Rem put a hand over her mouth and chuckled.
"Either way, it was nice seeing you again, young master."
"Whatever."
Liam headed to the wide mansion with his hands shoved into his pockets, grumbling about how annoying clingy parents could be.
