Home Ec

Your first class of the day is home economics. You enter the room and find your assigned seat as all the other guys and girls file into the room.

This was traditionally a mandatory class for boys, while it's voluntary for girls, but given the subject matter, girls are always jumping over themselves to sign up for home ec as an easy and fun elective. Depending on the topic of the day, it's not so much fun for boys, who are famously treated as nothing but house servants and slaves in the class even if the perky teacher likes to put a colorful spin on it.

You knew today, you'd be assigned new partners for the next project. Most classes involved being in a group of two or even three with boys and girls. The point was for the group to represent a traditional marriage of either a man and woman, a woman and two men, two women that share a guy, and any kind of wacky combination that's acceptable in modern society.

You look slightly to your right to one of the tables in front of you and see a blonde girl with a muscularly defined but pretty face looking back in your direction. She locks eyes with you after a second of staring at her, and you feel your stomach drop out as there's a predatory sparkle in her eyes. She gives a subtle grin, but you quickly look away once you've gained her full attention. Out of the corner of your eye, you can see the girl getting the attention of her friend, whose a smaller asian girl. The blonde girl points you out to the other girl and whispers something, that elicits giggling from both of them. You try to look anywhere but back over to them, but you're cheeks are becoming pink regardless. They must've noticed your blushing because you hear another fit of giggling, as you then suddenly become very interested in something in your backpack on the other side of your chair.

Once the majority of the class is seated, Ms. Mayberry, the happy-go-lucky Home Economics teacher, stands from her desk to begin her lesson. You always thought it was ironic they chose a single woman to teach a course on homesteading, but Ms. Mayberry seemed to be an encyclopedia of knowledge on anything related to cooking, cleaning, house care, and happy marriages.

Ms. Mayberry, ironically enough, had a homely look about her, not in the unattractive sense, but in that she was all cuteness, smiles and carried a very comforting vibe. Even when her classes full of anksty teens got weirdly sexual, she always acted like it was the most natural thing in the world and somehow made her students feel so too.. to a degree that is. If she wasn't teaching a subject on how to submit and obey your all-powerful wife, she probably would've been considered the best teacher in the school.

Even as she's sitting, you can identify Ms. Mayberry's fitting outfit for the day. She's wearing a white apron with pink accents overtop a floral dress. Her hair is done up in a messy braid with bangs falling out of it, telling the world she cares about her appearance, but she's working too hard around the house and doesn't have time to fix it. You look down at the embroidered writing on her apron and see the words:

"Home Economics Teacher (noun)

• A highly caffeinated person who develops young boys into obedient men, one class at a time.
