Holly, the bald headed wig wearer

A woman's pride, by almost any definition, is usually focused on her hair. This was an unfortunate situation for Holly, because years ago she had become afflicted by a condition called Alopecia Universalis. It's an immune disorder where the body kills off hair follicles, thinking they are an invading disease or something. For Holly, particularly, every single follicle of hair on her entire body had fallen out, as a teenager. From head to toe, she was completely bald.

Despite that (or perhaps because of it), Holly was a fairly vain woman, who was highly focused on her appearance. Years of desperately trying to hide her bald head under wigs caused her to become something of an expert of wigs, and hairstyles. Years of trying to hide her lack of eyelashes and eyebrows had her to become an expert on makeup, and fake lashes. Because she was so hyper-focused on her outside appearance, that became the sole focus for her whole existence - even seeking a career in the fashion industry, as a result.

You would think that being completely bald under all of her artifice, Holly would have been a bit more sympathetic to others who had other body issues, but unfortunately the opposite was true. She was vapid, vain, and arrogant, and judged other women who she deemed to be inferior to her, in the looks department. Indeed, equipped with her wig, fake lashes, drawn-on eyebrows, etc, she was usually in complete denial about any flaws in her appearance. At 30 years old, she had actually even put on a few pounds, especially around the belly, but not even the fact that her extra chub was held in place by a sturdy waist trainer didn't put much of a dent in the depths of her vanity

But unfortunately for Holly, she was about to get a lesson in humility...
