Holding hands

"Fine. I've never held hands with someone I liked." Alyssa sounded flippant at the start of the sentence but her voice lost energy toward the end, and her face fell a bit. You feel a little sorry for her.

You walk to the other side of the table and grab Ethan's hand. It feels nice. Isabella says, "Cute," but Alyssa doesn't seem to agree. She shifts from sad to maybe angry, and she looks away when you look directly at her.

You glance toward Miss Shelby. She doesn't seem offended by this public display of affection. You and Alyssa are probably the only ones taking hand-holding seriously.

Holding hands makes your whole body feel warm. You lean against Ethan weakly and he does the same for you, making the contact stronger and making you want more. Your attention is drawn to your butt, where Tyler's hand rubbed against it.

Why are you thinking about that now? It was meaningless, right?
