"-now," he said and Meredith pitched forward. She was sitting, right? Apparently not, but luckily Damian caught her. Meredith straightened up and flashed a grateful smile.
When she turned to June, everything blurred and she felt a pang in her stomach. "Oh, whoa, oh shit!" She fell forward into Damian's arms again, laughing at her clumsiness.
"You getting this?" he asked the cameras. "Severe disorientation. Looks unpleasant."
"It is," Meredith confirmed. Why was her leg sore? "I don't... what happened?"
June had been staying at her with quiet wonder. "You really don't remember?*
"You used it on me already?" Meredith asked after a moment.
"Part of what we're measuring is the retroactive effects. Turns out we can calibrate it to the second!"
"None of that stuff? The laughing? The coffee table?" June asked, still wrapping her head around it.
"Ok, Meredith, listen to me very carefully."
"Wait, are you about to-"
He interrupted her."Seven three six-"
