Chapter 10 by Artican Artican

Will Hitomi be spotted?

Hitomi Spots Something on the Beach

As she lay on the beach, recovering, Hitomi’s thoughts moved to her being alone on an island. She had nothing to defend herself besides a tiny flashlight covered in her juices. What if there were pirates that came ashore? If they found her young, nude self prancing about the island, they would see it as an open invitation to take advantage of her. The idea of a group of rowdy pirates coming after her sent another chill down her spine. Sure she could probably take on a few with her Karate training, but what if she got overwhelmed? Would Christie be able to help? Where was Christie? She had gone out to fish for food a while ago. Hitomi wasn’t sure how long it would take to catch something.

Hitomi picked herself up and stepped into the cold ocean water to wash away the sand. As she did so, her thoughts remained on Christie. Even in the darkness, she could still make out if someone was there and it was empty all the way up to the horizon. The only thing breaking up the horizon was their jet ski, still parked by the sand where the tide couldn’t take it. She strained to look out into the ocean, but there was only waves. She started to become paranoid and anxious. What if Christie got hurt or stuck in the water? If her oxygen tank broke, she could drown! Hitomi’s brow furrowed with worry. She had lost track of time and it felt like ages since Christie had left.

Hitomi’s eyes darted to the left. She saw movement in the distance! Her pupils dilated as they strained to see what was there. Her mouth went dry and her muscles tensed up. .There was a shadowy figure approaching the hut! Suddenly Hitomi was rethinking lighting all the lanterns. The bright lights contrasted the low luminescence of the beach, making it harder to see out in the distance. She thought maybe it was Christie back from her fishing trip and was about to call out, but noticed the thing dragging along a tail! Was this some demonic sea monster?!

The young Karate student began to panic. She’d never faced off against a sea monster before. Did this thing have magical powers that could subvert her fighting technique? She needed to get a closer look and find out what she was facing. She also reminded herself that only had a soggy flashlight to defend herself with. Hitomi hoped Christie stashed weapons with her gear back at the hut. The thing seemed to be taking it’s time but was definitely headed that direction. Hitomi skirted around and snuck back into the hut. She quickly rummaged through through the gear for something she could use. She found a cooking pot that had decent balance for a swing, so she carried that and hid behind the hut doorway. Whatever the thing was, it would need to pass by to get to the lighted grill, which the girl assumed it was being drawn to because of the fire and lights.

She waited patiently for the mysterious figure to make its way up to the hut. It was quiet enough that she could hear herself breathing. She could also feel her heart pounding against her chest as she braced herself for a sneak attack. Soon, she heard the lumbering figure trudge closer. She could sense it’s presence nearby and had to keep calm so as not to reveal herself. The thing cast a misshapen shadow by the door frame. It was right next to her! Hitomi took a small breath, focused herself and made a leap out the doorway.

“KYA!” she cried out as she went for a jumping kick.

The figure was caught by surprise and Hitomi landed a solid blow on its back. It rolled over and grunted. Hitomi raised the cooking pot, ready to strike again, when the thing rolled over and Hitomi recognized it.

“Christie?!” Hitomi called out in surprise.

“What in the blue blazes was that for?!” Christie cried out, indignantly.

Hitomi dropped the pan, mortified. “Ahh! I’m so sorry! I thought you were a sea monster!” Hitomi explained as she tried to help the other woman up. Christie raised an eyebrow at the hysterical girl. “You had a tail!” she tried to reason.

Christie got to her feet and cricked her back before trudging on her flippers to her ‘tail’. It was a large fish. Hitomi’s eyes widened at the size of the thing. It was a large tuna, about as long as she was tall. Dragging that beast across the beach in her heavy scuba gear was what gave Christie the appearance of a lumbering sea beast. HItomi felt a mixture of relief and embarrassment for jumping to conclusions and jumping her islandmate. As she continued to look in amazement at the large catch, another thing occurred to her.

“Christie,” Hitomi said, “I don’t think we can finish all this…”

Christie gave Hitomi a weak smile as she dragged the fish over to the cooking area. “I guess I overdid it…” She said as she pulled off the oxygen tank from her shoulders and exhaled, free from the burden. She then proceeded to unzip herself from the skin tight bodysuit as Hitomi shyly watched. “Ah… it’s a relief to be out of that thing!” Christie stated as she peeled the neoprene off her pale skin and rubbed feeling back into her flesh. Hitomi was tempted to step in and help her with that task, but stood back as the taller woman took out a sharp Japanese blade.

“Don’t worry about the leftovers. We’ll eat what we want and feed the wildlife with the leftovers,” Christie explained as she began to expertly fillet the bounty. HItomi watched in bemusement as the naked woman worked her way around the giant fish, slicing the flesh from the bone with ease. She imagined it would make for great entertainment for a sexy theme restaurant that did flamboyant shows while cooking their meals. Christie seemed happy to show off her dissemination skills for Hitomi’s benefit, so the girl didn’t have to be discrete about her watching. The professional woman made long stroke slices with the blade, making flourishes at the end, flipping and laying out the cuts as she went along. When she finished, she had cut out a dish full of thinly sliced sashimi, a couple of steaks for the grill and stacks of neatly cut blocks for fish meat. All that remained were bones.

The steaks were grilled up and Christie pulled out some drinks so the two could share a romantic dinner by the beach. Hitomi enjoyed the salty mist of ocean spray, the soothing sounds of the distant water crashing the beach. The meal could have been served at a restaurant and she would not be able to tell it was prepared on a deserted island. They enjoyed each other’s company for the next hour, cleaning their plates and finishing their drinks until the night sky had fully settled in. Christie needed to take a shower after her swim, so she told Hitomi to prep the bed. Hitomi took her lantern over to the hut and found blankets among the stored gear. She wrapped one around herself to shield against the cool air. Everything was calm and serene to her now and she thought back to the scare she had earlier; mistaking Christie for a monster. The fear and uncertainty had gotten her blood pumping and as she thought back to the moment, she began to feel another sort of stimulation. She wondered if she should act on this instinct.

Christie was in the shower now. Would she mind if Hitomi were to join her? Maybe Hitomi should wait until they were wrapped together in her blanket to make a move on the English woman. Hitomi felt tingly as she thought of the possibilities.

Does Hitomi act on her instincts?
