His wife uses the coins before he can

Dan was wracking his brain, trying to think of how he could best use the coins to help him reconnect with his son. As hard as it was to admit, he was really worried about him. With how distant he had been, how... short he tended to be with Dan and his wife Linda, he had been harboring concerns that he was experimenting with ****. He went out a lot, liked to party for sure. He would often be nursing hangovers in the morning. Or, well, early afternoons.

Entering their bedroom, Dan was shocked to see Linda standing in the center of the room. Her eyes were closed and she was holding up the silver coin. Before his eyes, he watched as the years began to melt off of her. She went from her mid-40's to her 30's, then 20's. She finally stopped at maybe 20 or so.

"Linda, what are you doing?" Dan asked. She jumped, nearly dropping the coin as she did. She struggled to catch it, which helped to accentuate the changes in her body. And her clothes. Rather than the dress she had been wearing she now sported yoga pants and a loose top that showed a fair amount of her cleavage.

She gave Dan a lopsided grin. "Oh, hi honey," she said. "I was just..." She sighed, then shrugged. "We've been sitting on the coins for weeks and haven't done anything with them. I decided to take action."

"By making yourself younger?" he asked.

"Well, we're concerned about Michael, right? He's not talking to us. He'll probably talk to someone his age though."

"I... maybe..." Dan said. "But-"

"But nothing, you know I'm right. And we can always use the coins to turn back later, right?" Linda asked. "So, why don't you do what I did and join in." With that, she tossed the coin to Dan, who caught it and looked at it.

"Do what you did, huh?" he asked, thinking.
