His teacher

Arnold smiled at his teacher who was a young person. Couldn’t be older than 25. She had pretty hair and a bit of cleavage which Arnold couldn’t help but notice.

“Hello,” the teacher said. “I’m Dr. Kelsey. Nice to meet you. You must be Arnold? I’ve heard… all about you.”

Arnold nodded eagerly. “Yes, Dr. Kelsey. I am Arnold.”

“Perfect. And you volunteered to be the example for all experiments correct?” Dr. Kelsey said. “Your mom dropped off the forms today.”

“That’s right,” Arnold said.

Dr. Kelsey smiled. “Excellent. You can go ahead and sit at the front then. I’ll need you for a demonstration.”

Arnold nodded and headed inside. There was a desk set up at the front that faced the rest of the class so Arnold sat down and waited for class to start. Arnold looked around and noticed there was a privacy divider set up to the side as well as some other utensils that you would find at a doctor’s office.

Arnold didn’t think much of it as he assumed it was typical for an AP leveled class to have such tools. “Alright class. Welcome to AP Science. This course is going to be covering multiple areas of science from chemistry to biology to anatomy and even a little bit of physics. This class is also going to be a lot of demonstration and a lot of experiments,” Dr. Kelsey said as she walked to the front of the room.

“Each of you before enrolling in the class were asked to fill out forms asking what you were comfortable with doing. Some of you were much more eager to participate than others. Also, this is a senior only class for a specific reason which we will get to in a moment,” Dr. Kelsey continued.

“Now, please keep in mind you may not record anything on your personal devices. While there will be a recording of this class posted for you to access later after class. It is going to be on a private network only. Distribution of sources in class are strictly prohibited. Does anyone have any questions? Dr Kelsey asked.

When no hands were raised she proceeded as she turned to Arnold. “You were the only student who volunteered for every aspect of the class. So you will start us off with this first demonstration,” Dr Kelsey said.

Arnold was starting to wonder what he volunteered for as he didn’t read the forms at all when he checked off all the boxes eager to show initiative and have something to stand out on his college application.
