His senile grandma living on a farm.

"You're going to visit Grandma Maddie on the old farm, the outdoors will do you a lot of good and the old lady needs some help to fix a few things." said his dad.

Maddie, his dad's mom was going on 85 and was almost senile. K-T didn't see her really often but each time she kept treating him like a little kid, even last time they visited while he was 16. The farm was boring, it was lost in the countryside, even the nearest town was a good 2h drive in her old beaten pickup truck, there was no internet nor phone service, she still had a land-line connected to a single wall mounted rotary dial phone so she could be joined. There was literally nothing to do while there except getting sunburn or eaten alive by mosquitoes, while dying of the heat with no AC or fan around.

Having finished cleaning while listening Emily bemoan being cut-off from her friends for so long, K-T got up and tried to go to his room to pack everything he could.

"Not so fast young man, you're not going to drip sugary milk in the whole house, I don't have the time to clean everything before we leave," she told him, holding her hand out. Without even having to be ordered to he removed his t-shirt and wiped himself with the dry side before giving it to her.

" Gross, I don't need to see your sausage first thing in the morning, dork! " said his sister before finishing her smoothie and running to her room. K-T followed close behind and entered his own room to pack.

He didn't have a suitcase, the zipper of his last one broke open and spilt his clothes on the highway last summer when it was strapped on the roof of the car because his sister and mom were bringing too much for all to fit into the trunk. The best he could find was a big gym bag.

He put aside a big t-shirt, some of his rare boxers and some jeans to wear after packing and showering. He put in his bag a few pairs of shorts, a dozen t-shirt, the only pair of swimming trunks he owned a pair of flip-flops and the second pair of pants he had. Already the bag looked pretty full, he managed to sneak into it an old portable game console and its charger, an ipod he got second hand from his sister when she got a smartphone and after thinking of the lack of internet, one of the rare porno magazines he had carefully hidden in his room. The bag was now extremely full and wouldn't close if he added anything more.

He rushed to the bathroom, quickly showered and came back to dress only to find his bag missing. He put on his clothes and a pair of socks and got downstairs, relieved to see his bag next to the front door. His sister had already packed most of what she needed for the planned family vacations in a few days and was already dressed and ready when she came down for breakfast, she was waiting next to her two large suitcases and travel bag.
