His cousin

John figured that calling his cousin, Sarah, was the best option. Given that they were first cousins, he'd figured she wouldn't do anything to take advantage of the situation.

He took out his phone and called her. "Hello?" a sleepy voice called.

"Sarah, it's me, John," he said. He wondered if Sarah knew what had happened yet. Judging by how tired she sounded on the phone, probably not.

"John? What's wrong?" she asked. "I'm still awfully tired."

"I know, Sarah. But something has happened. First, turn on the TV and watch the news. Then call me back," John said, hanging up.

He waited a few minutes. Then his phone rang and he answered. "Hello?"

"John, I watched the report. Is it true?" she asked.

"I'm afraid so. I've seen no other guys. It's either true or some complex prank," he replied.

"Why don't you come over so we can talk about this?"
