His cousin is at the door

Jim and Lila find their place at the kitchen table - Jim's seat equipped with a large booster that fit the contours of his legs and diapered butt perfectly - as they both waited patiently for his dad to bring their breakfast. Jim grabbed his sippy cup full of orange juice and helped himself.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it," said Jim, who got up and went to the door.

No sooner did he open the door did he want to slam it shut. Standing in front of Jim was his 23 year old female cousin and the bane of his existence, Ashley. Back when he was in elementary school, Jim’s uncle was getting a divorce from his wicked witch of an ex-wife and Ashley’s mother. With things like court and custody battles being waged constantly, it was agreed that Jim’s family would take Ashley in until either things settled down or she turned 18. Needless to say, the former never happened. From then on, Ashley lived like she was Jim’s big sister.
