Hinata starts learning an element... For reasons both practical and perverted...

Once Naruto had been calmed and Sakura started healing him, Kakashi approached Hinata, not taking note of her nudity thanks to the Note. "He's making good progress," he noted. "Now he just needs to learn how to cut the leaf more consistently… and avoid cutting his hands in the process."

Hinata blushed a bit, still finding that to be partially hers and Sakura's fault. "I mean… we were pretty distracting for him…"

"Word is that you and Naruto have become an item by the way," Kakashi noted, making Hinata eep and blush.

"W-word's getting around that fast?" she asked, wondering how Kakashi had gotten ahold of that so fast while bedridden. Sure, they hadn't kept it secret after Naruto had used the Note on her, but they didn't exactly advertise it either… though Ino likely did, being a notorious gossip.

"…I WAS keeping in touch with Yamato, Naruto's temporary team leader," Kakashi chuckled. Oh. That cleared that up. "Regardless, you're clearly well behind Naruto and Sakura right now. Both of them are capable of fighting members of the Akatsuki, albeit with competent help. I could be wrong, but I don't think I can say the same for you at the moment," he remarked.

"…why is that important?" Hinata asked him as Naruto returned to training.

"It should be obvious. You know the Akatsuki are after Naruto by now I'm sure, and I doubt they'd pass up an opportunity to try to use you to get to him. I should also mention the Hyuuga techniques are well known, and thus, while powerful, are easily predicted, not to mention all but powerless in long range combat. In short, you're an easy target, and a liability. If it was still possible, I would have suggested keeping it under wraps, but seeing as you have already let enough people know that it's guaranteed to spread around, eve if not like wildfire, it will be common knowledge before too long. Which means I'm going to have to help you get stronger too."

He held up a piece of chakra paper. "Just channel some chakra into this and we'll see what your element is." Hinata obliged, and the paper crinkled, before burning. "Hmm, Lightning as a primary element and Fire as a strong enough secondary alignment that it revealed on the paper… That's surprising. I would have thought that would have happened with Sasuke actually, but the paper just crinkled when I tested it, despite him using Fire Style jutsu. I suppose it was just training that allowed him to get proficient at that element without even knowing his alignment."

"…which one should I train with?"

"Well, Fire would make you a good team with Naruto, as Wind increases the power of Fire, but with Lightning as your primary element, it would be a little easier for you to learn. Also, I'd be better at assisting you learn that one, and imagine it'd work well with the Gentle Fist."

Hinata considered, before also realizing she could apply very small electric shocks to erogenous zones to other girls during sex with that element, and hid her blush. Yep, definitely going with Lightning.
