Highway misadventure!

It was the night before the carnival and Cremia was feeling nervous. The day before a boulder had blocked the path from Romani ranch towards Clock town, a large one that did not look like it had suddenly naturally cropped up. Then her little sister Romani had been going on about ghosts as well the night before and had only come in to sleep at six o' clock. It was enough to make anyone worry, and the giant moon about to cascade down upon the city at any moment was also quite unnerving, but business had to go on as usual.

Link had been at the ranch the night before and up until the morning. What he had been doing with her little sister she had no idea, but he had refused her offer to accompany her to clock town and instead gone down to bet on the puppy races across the ranch. She could have done with his help she felt, but with the boulder gone it should be clear sailing to the town she hoped. Kissing her sister goodbye for the night she told her not to get into too much trouble, to behave like her older sister always would, responsibly and like a proper girl rather than a vagabond ruffian with a bow and arrow would.

Getting into her horse-drawn carriage she left the ranch at about six o'clock in the evening, hoping she'd be back home soon to make sure her sister got some proper sleep. The trouble began...
