Hide and Seek

"Well, I don't know. James would you like to do a trick for us?" the shorter woman asked, her friend still seeming a little uneasy.

"Ruff!" James barked enthusiastically. He loved that his owner wanted to show him off to other humans and felt thrilled at the opportunity to demonstrate what a clever dog he was and make Sir proud.

"Hmm, ok. Well how about a high five?"

"Ruff!"

James remained in the sitting position but arched his body upwards towards the woman and held out a hand expectantly. She giggled as she played along and tapped her palm against his.

"Oh, this is just the cutest thing ever!" the woman cooed before looking at her friend "Denise, you wanna high five him? Maybe get him to beg for a treat?"

"I think I'll pass" the taller woman folded her arms defensively.

"Okay, then James, since you are such a clever little dog, how about a game of hide and seek?" the first woman suggested "I count to a hundred and you hide yourself somewhere in this park then I come and find you. Is that okay with you?"

The last question was addressed not to James but his owner. Sir considered this for a moment. It wasn't the kind of trick he'd really had in mind. This was a really big park and James was nearly naked and under extremely powerful suggestions he could not break free from. But, he didn't really see what harm James could come to in broad daylight with so many people around and James was looking up at him with an adorable, hopeful expression.

"Yes, that is fine with me" Sir nodded.

"Wonderful!" the shorter woman smiled "James, are you ready?"

"Ruff! Ruff!" James couldn't wait to show Sir's new friend just how clever a dog he was. There were loads of places he could hide in this place. They would never find him!

"Okay, then you'd better get moving" the woman smiled and covered her eyes "One, two, three.."
