Hesitate

"Chad, could we maybe talk in private?" David asked hesitantly.

Even though Helen seems to be very open and she also seems to have been informed, David would like a moment just for himself and his brother. It's not like they are talking about borrowing a car or something. No, Ashley wants to get into bed with Chad and father a child from him. That's better discussed from brother to brother.

Chad lifted his wife off his lap.

"Would you leave me and David alone for a minute?"

She nodded. "Thanks, honey" Chad said and blew his wife a kiss as she left the room.

"So?" began Chad. "What do you want to talk about?"

"I..I don't know man, this is all so new to me". David sighed.

He hadn't thought much about it since the night he had heard about his wife's dream of getting pregnant by someone other than him. It sounded so easy then, but now he is afraid of getting cold feet.

"Listen, I don't know what Ashley told you, but we've been having trouble having kids for a while now. She's been to the doctor and there's nothing wrong with her, so I guess the problem is with me. IVF is expensive. Too expensive, if you ask me. So we wanted to do it the "natural" way. But to keep the child in the family, Ashley suggested you. You look quite a bit like me and so it could be our little secret. You know?"

Chad looked at his brother with sympathy. Yes, he teased his little brother every now and then, but at times like this, he was there for him.

"Of course, you have nothing to be ashamed of. I understand you and I have a lot of respect for you. You try to make your wife happy and for that alone, you deserve all the honor. I don't want to take your wife away from you either, it will just be sex. That's why I wanted to offer you my own wife. It will just be sex between the four of us and once Ashley is pregnant, everything will be as before. Except for the fact that you and your wife finally have your long-awaited child, of course."

Chad moved closer to his brother on the couch and put his arm around David's shoulder, looking at him aggressively.

"Or are you telling me you don't find Helen attractive?"

"No, no, that's not what I mean! I really didn't!" retorted David hastily.

Chad laughed. "I'm just kidding. Helen and I have already talked about it quietly and she's more than willing to keep you company at night when...you know...me and Ashley make you a son or daughter."

David considered. Ashley and he hadn't discussed it before, but maybe she even knew about it. David did want to be there, but it was only going to be Ashley having sex and only for the purpose of making a baby. If David slept with Helen now, wouldn't he be cheating on Ashley? Otherwise, he could also openly tell Ashley that he is planning to sleep with Helen. She would certainly not refuse, since she herself wants to sleep with his brother.

"So, you agree with me and we'll do it?" asked Chad.
