The sonic blast sent the symbiote flying off of Brock. Most of the ebony goo was destroyed in the blast and what little that remained splattered against a wall several blocks away. For several hours it sat motionless conserving its strength to regenerate the lost mass. It awoke from its hibernation the next day weakened but whole, and very angry. It wasn't enough that its first host rejected it, Spiderman had to kill the one that had accepted its bond. It slithered off the wall to weak to waste anytime grieving for its fallen host or to sit in anger, it needed to survive.
