Chapter 37 by GenocideHeart
Who does Tri'lanna suggest?
Her sister, Kiraea
"As much as I dislike her, and she I, Kiraea might be the only one who would actually be willing to help us." Tri'lanna says, looking down sadly. "We actually used to be quite close when we were younger."
"Let's just hope she actually talks to us, rather than demand favors and brag about her latest conquest." She huffs.
You grab your things and leave the room, following in Tri'lanna's footsteps. Kiraea's room was actually rather closeby, only a single length of stairs down, and around the corner. You watch Tri'lanna walk up to knock on the door and you can hear someone approaching from the other side, when the door swings open suddenly. It is Kiraea.
"Hans? Tri'lanna?" Kiraea says, surprised and caught off-guard. "What are you two doing here so late?"
"We need to talk to you about something. Something important." Tri'lanna says, ushering her sister inside the room. While Kiraea is talking to your Elven friend, you get a good glance at her.
Wearing a cream-colored nightgown covering from shoulders to knees, Kiraea looks almost tame. It is strange seeing Tri'lanna's sister looking so plain. For the first time you see her silvery hair let down and without wearing make-up. For the first time she's not openly trying to seduce you, and that's when you realize that, with Kiraea dressed like that, she looks a lot like Tri'lanna. The resemblance is striking. They could practically be twins.
"So." Kiraea says, interrupting your chain of thought. "You need to find that little druid girl, do you? Well I would be more than happy to help you out, sister." The Elf wraps her arm around Tri'lanna's shoulder jovially.
"Really?" She replies, slightly confused "You will?"
"Of course. All that I ask for is a little favor." Tri'lanna's sister says sweetly, "The only thing I want is just...to spend a little time with Hans."
"So THAT'S what you're aiming for!" Tri'lanna throws off her sister's arm, "I told you, he's not yours!"
"Well then...how about joining us? I won't mind. And from the look on his face, I don't think he minds either."
"W-what did you say?!"
"It'll be just like old times! Ooooh, you remember Scars, right? Didn't we have fun with him?? Who would've thought...half-elf, half-human....best of both worlds, if you get what I mean! Hehehe." Kiraea grins wickedly. "Come on, Tri, it'll be fun!"
For the first time, you see Tri'lanna look at her sister with something other than anger or suspicion. Kiraea blinks too, realizing that she's acting friendly with her estranged sister. They share a long look at each other.
"You haven't...called me that in a long time, Kira." Tri'lanna says, the corners of her mouth turning upwards.
"That's because you've become so stuck-up, sister! When you went off, who was I supposed to play with? All you need to do is...relax." Kiraea murmurs, hooking her arm around the Elfmaid's waist.
"And it was mostly you and him, remember? I left after the first five minutes, because you kept pestering me to do a double harmonica with you on him. Gods Kiraea, we had only met him an hour ago..."
The change that happened seemed magical. Where once Tri'lanna and Kiraea kept each other at armslength, speaking coldly and rudely snubbing one another, now they were like two little sisters again, giggling and gossiping about the cutest boys. In a way, you realize that Tri'lanna and Kiraea are somewhat similar to each other, which would explain why they were getting along. Your Elven companion is quite a tease and her sister simply takes all of that flirting to its natural, logical conclusion. So despite all the things that have happened between her and her family, you're glad to see Tri'lanna bonding with her sister.
"So what do you think? Yes? No?" Kiraea asks.
How does Tri'lanna respond?
