Her shirt is caught on the lid

As Candace turned to sit down, she felt a tug on her chest and had to stop herself right before she ripped her shirt clean off.

Looking up, she saw that the chest of her shirt was caught right on where the lid of the compartment latched onto the bottom. She tried opening the compartment again to get it out, but her shirt jammed up the lock so it couldn't easily open. Damn it! She could just yank and hope that only a part of her shirt tore off (yes, the part covering the chest, but still) and not the whole banana, she could slip out of it and sit down almost completely naked to get back to the shirt when the plane reached cruising altitude, ask the flight attendants for help, or fidget with the lock some more.

Her problems were compounded by the other passengers boarding behind her, some of them starting to bump into her as they filtered towards the back and all of them getting testy at her threatening to delay the flight. Candace needed to make a decision, and fast.
