Chapter 6 by Phantompen

Just how revealing was her role going to be?

Her role is central to the plot.

The play was an obscure one, titled The Resolute, and Yuki's role was that of the title character. Her character was a prisoner believed to have important information, and the play largely revolved around trying to get her to confess what she knew. No matter what was tried, the prisoner would never confess. Her first scene alone would have her stripped of her prisoner's clothing in an attempt to humiliate her into speaking, and her interrogators would only escalate from there. There were scenes without her, thankfully, but the vast majority of the play did feature her in one way or another.

While that was more than enough to fill Yuki with dread, it was the many instances of the script where actors were encouraged to improvise that really concerned her. The only restrictions were that they weren't to do anything that could seriously injure her, but that left a whole lot on the table. Given the nature of the character and the play, the one comfort Yuki could find was that the show was restricted to those 18 and older, so it wouldn't be the entire school attending. Just... all of her classmates and peers... and anyone they invited...

Yuki curled up on her bed as she tossed the script aside. As she tried to wrestle with her roiling emotions, another thought formed from the depths of her fear: she didn't know the casting. She had no idea who would be playing her interrogators, and what sort of things they might have planned for her. Since her role didn't require much in the way of rehearsal, since she had no real lines, she wouldn't know the answer to that question until the day of the play.

Who's playing Yuki's tormentors?
