Her own car!

Charlotte, seeing Florence give up her glare, even for a second, allowed herself to smile a little and reached for her tiny black clutch purse on the table by the door. She opened her purse and pulled out a key fob on a keychain and dangled it in between herself and her daughter.

Florence's brown eyes went as wide as they could go, and her free hand, previously attempting to shield her bare bottom from the world, went up to the side of her head in a gesture of total surprise and shock. "You didn't!" She said, taking a step forward.

"We did," her mother corrected, nodding.

"And it's the..." Florence reached out to take the key fob.

Her mother moved it out of her reach. "What it is, darling, is conditional on your good behaviour. And until your father and I are done paying it off, it is also conditional on your continued good grades."

Florence took a step back, now wrapping both arms around her pillow, holding it tight against her naked body. "So you think you can bribe me?" Florence said again, glowering even harder at her poised, naked mother.

"Yes," Charlotte said flatly. "If we give you enough of what you want, I think we can make the transition far more pleasant and painless for you. And, frankly, punishing you doesn't seem to be working."

"And you think a car-?"

"Oh it's more than a car, your father and I have plans to shower you in gifts if you behave and put on a good face for your peers, make it easier for them when they eventually have to make the change themselves. In fact, I was planning a mother-daughter-shopping trip right now if you're willing to drop the pillow and come with me to the mall." Charlotte lowered the key fob to within reach of her daughter. "You could drive us there...? In your new car?"
