Her door is locked

Brianna jiggled the knob of her bedroom door violently as Janice walked up with a grin on her face.

"What now?" Brianna sighed with great annoyance.

"Again, all I just want you to do is move out," Janice tried to paint herself as the reasonable one despite everything that had happened, "if you stay here, you'll have to sleep on the couch or where all the blankets are with me and your father. But, if you move, you get your own room again, and your stuff!"

Brianna's heart dropped at how far Janice was willing to go.

"Now," Janice continued, "your father and I are watching Suits in the living room. If you insist on staying here, you might as well join us and get used to this. Or, tap out, and I'll unlock your door and help you with your things."

Brianna's weight shifted from one foot to the other as she decided what to do.
