Her best friends Nate and Jane

"Hey Alex!" Jane wrapped her in a tight hug, making Alex melt. She harbored a huge crush on her best female friend, a chubby goth girl who towered a full foot taller than her.

"Hi Jane." Alex blushed and smiled at her before pulling her other best friend Nate into a one armed bro hug. "You guys are earlier than I thought! You wanna hang out before we leave?"

"Sure!" Nate grinned.

Nate and Jane were Alex's only real friends, two fellow outcasts. They watched horror movies together, shared comic books, and played D&D with Jane's super cool dad.

"This weekend is gonna be so fun!" Jane clapped. "Are you guys as excited as me?"
