?I saw him go that way.? Liandra said, and pointed down the hall.

?Ah, thank you.? The elder lady said. She followed down the path Liandra had shown and called out ?My lord, wait, please.?

Liandra waited until the woman had left, then she went to the door the man was hiding behind and said ?she is gone.?

The man came out and took her hand. ?Thank you so much, you have no idea how much you helped me.?

?Who was she anyways?? Liandra asked him.

The man rolled his eyes. ?She was my aunt, and she tried to make me go to another one of her arranged meetings to marry me off to someone.?

?If only he knew I was put in a **** marriage as well.? Liandra thought.

?You know, we shouldn?t stay here. She could come back any minute.?

The man tugged at her hand and pulled her away with him. Liandra didn?t quite know how to respond. It was almost like she was being swept away. She didn?t mind, tho. The guy was rather handsome and he appeared honest, and young too.

He took her to a small platform in the middle of a narrow tower. There he activated some mechanism she had never seen before, which caused the platform?s magic to activate. It started to move upwards, slowly at first, but it kept going faster and faster. Liandra felt scared at first, cause she didn?t know where she was going. But soon enough the platform reached its destination and came to rest at the top of the tower. The princess learned she was now on the highest point in the entire castle Darkshadow. When she looked down, she could see the entirety of Nightglow city below her. All the many different colors of the city now appeared like small point.

?This is my most favorite place in the entire castle.? The young man said. ?From here is seems like the lights of the city resemble the stars in the night sky.?

Liandra realized he was right. It was almost like someones had put a piece of black paper in front of a lamp, then pierced small holes in the paper.

?In fact, on a bright night like this one,? The man said as he turned his gaze up. ? ? well, look for yourself.?

Liandra followed his example, and looked up. It made her feel a little confused. She saw stars when she looked up, she saw stars when she looked down. It was almost as if she stood in the center of the galaxy and stars were all around her.

?It is so ? mystical.? She said.

?Exactly. That is why I like it here so much. It help we to stop worrying about the problems of mundane life, and makes me wonder about all the untapped mysteries of existence. When I go back down, I feel renewed.?

Liandra was amazed with this man. He felt so mysterious, yet also so wise far beyond his years.

?I don?t know what to say. I feel rather overwhelmed.? The princess told him.

?How about just letting it overwhelm you.? He said. ?Sometimes it is good to give in to your emotions and let them carry you away.?
