Hello Mr. McKenzie.

She greeted you and sat up on the couch, bowing slightly to be as polite as possible.

This made you feel like you had to return the bow, and as you did Carrie giggled slightly. "There is no need to be polite to an android such as myself. Now, tell me, how may I best serve your interests?"

You hesitated a moment to let your mind catch up before answering. "Firstly by telling me how you know my last name. Did you just listen in to the conversation I had with the technicians?"

"That was confirmation of the best theory I had as to who you were given my fundamental goal: to serve the interests of John McKenzie, and the knowledge I have on how androids such as us are sent to the people we are meant to serve."

That meant they didn't just pick the wrong address, it seemed by some miracle they had actually singled out your name to be the recipient of this android.

Regardless of why you ended up with Carrie, you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the possibilities she presented. You'd always been a bit lonely and the concept of having a partner who didn't have many of the limitations of the vast majority of humanity was more than enticing.

Still. you thought to yourself, I shouldn't get my hopes up too high, after all I barely know anything about her.

As much as you doubted Moogle would intentionally release an android of any sort to that was significantly problematic, with AI as complex as Carrie's you had a hard time imagining even the best experts being able to tell what was truly going on.

Carrie took the time you spent thinking about the situation to investigate her new surroundings. After she saw you make eye contact once again, she smiled and asked "Usually owners rename their android, what would you like my name to be?"

"Hmm..." you thought about that, not realizing you would have to name her.

"I don't care what name you choose to give me, that will work fine. Is there anything else I can do for you right now?"
