Sofia and I sat on a hard plastic bench at the airport in Ibiza, our fingers intertwined, her thumb tracing lazy circles on my knuckles. We'd packed light for our trip to Mykonos, just a couple of duffels stuffed with sundresses and lingerie for our intimate moments. My heart was still heavy from my decision: leaving Heavenly, leaving behind Gabby - my wild, impetuous sister, and starting a new life with Sofia, my kindred spirit, a woman I've grown madly in love with.

My thoughts drift to Sofia and I loading our belongings into the SUV to take us from Heavenly to the airport. Gabby was there to say goodbye. Her curls tousled from the wind, the Heavenly bracelet glinting on her wrist.

"Katey," Gabby said, her face flushed with sadness, "you're really doing this," pulling me into a fierce hug. Sofia sat in the car, doors and windows closed, giving us space. "Immau and I really want you to stay with us at Heavenly. He wants to make you a Heavenly Woman."

"I'm leaving Gabby," I said as tears started to swell. "I never wanted to be here in the first place. This was all your doing - remember. I'm glad it happened, because I met Sofia." I continued: "I could never have imagined us going our separate ways. But - change is inevitable. These things happen. I was never attracted to women or even fantasized about being with a woman. Sofia changed everything for me. She's my first. I never felt this much love for someone before. I love you very much Gabby - but - my love for Sofia - it's different. She's someone I want to spend the rest of my life with."

We hugged again, our tears flowing, and I whispered, "I love you so much Gab. Stay happy." As she stepped back, I felt the tether snap - like a kite in the wind, breaking away from its string. I got into the rear seat next to Sofia, weeping uncontrollably. Sofia pulled me close, wiping away my tears, her lips brushing my temple.

When we landed in Mykonos, we were greeted with a view of whitewashed walls and bougainvillea blooming in pinks and purples, the Mediterranean a glittering expanse that seemed to beckon at our arrival. Sofia's family and relatives waited at the airport to greet us. Her father, a silver-haired, rich shipping executive with a huge smile and a hardy laugh, gave me a warm and welcoming hug. "Welcome, Katey! Sofia's told us all about you - the girl who stole her heart." Her mother, elegantly dressed in white linen, hugged me tightly for a good long while. "Thank you Katey," she said - tears rolling down her cheeks. "Thank you so much. You brought back my daughter to me." She held my hands and looked deep into my eyes. I could feel her love warming me entirely. "We've got a villa waiting for you both - to make yours."

The villa was no modest retreat; it perched on a cliffside like a crown, infinity pool spilling toward the sea, terraces draped in grapevines, and rooms that opened to breezes carrying hints of wild herbs. We had dinner with her family that first night, a feast under the stars: grilled octopus slick with olive oil, glasses of crisp Assyrtiko that made my head spin pleasantly. Sofia's hand found my thigh under the table, a secret spark, and I realized this was wealth woven into the earth, not flaunted like Imamu's polished empire.

Six months blurred into a haze of lazy mornings and fevered nights. We explored Mykonos' hidden paths - winding trails to pebbled beaches where we'd strip and swim, her body pressing against mine in the cool waves, nipples hardening as I traced the salt from her skin. The villa became our playground: mornings in the sunlit kitchen, her fingers dipping into honey before sliding them into my mouth, afternoons on the terrace where she'd kneel between my legs, tongue lapping at my pussy until I arched against the stone railing, gasping her name. We made love everywhere - slow and deep in the four-poster bed, frantic against the shower tiles, her fingers curling inside me while water cascaded over us, building to orgasms that left me trembling, my juices mixing with the steam. This was the happiest moment of my life. I met my forever soulmate.

One evening, long after the sun dipped into the sea like a molten coin, we prepared ourselves for bed. Sofia looked at me - with love and passion - very much the same as when we first met. "I've been thinking," she said, her voice husky, eyes dark with intent. "About forever." She kissed me, never taking her eyes away from mine. "Marry me," she whispered against my mouth. I nodded yes and my tears started to flow - mixing with laughter. It was such a beautiful moment. The woman I met and fell in love with was going to be mine - and I would be hers - forever. She opened the nightstand draw and produced a box. Within was a ring of white gold and sapphire. She slipped it onto my finger. The next day, upon learning the news, Sofia's family was overjoyed. Great excitement unfolded as they help us with wedding plans. Sofia's family arranging a ceremony on a private beach at sunset, garlands of olive branches and wildflowers arching overhead.

My parents flew in for the wedding, their faces a mix of surprise, relief, and joy when we met them at the airport. They became very worried about Gabby and me since not returning from Ibiza. After meeting Sofia, knowing how much in love we are with each other, and meeting Sofia's family, they were very happy for us and our new life together.

But the highlight - was Gabby. She arrived alone later that afternoon, waddling slightly under the weight of her huge baby bump, looking like she might pop any second. Imamu hadn't come - business, she said with a wink - but she'd brought stories, her wild energy tempered by this new glow. She wore a flowing gown in deep sapphire, the fabric draping elegantly over her swollen belly. Around her neck hung a stunning diamond necklace, catching the light like captured stars, and her Heavenly bracelet matched it, a symbol of her chosen path. On her left hand, the diamond-encrusted wedding ring sparkled - Imamu had made it official, she confided later, a private ceremony at Heavenly before the pregnancy took hold.

The wedding day dawned perfect, the air humming with cicadas and the promise of celebration. Guests milled on the beach - Sofia's extended family, a smattering of my old friends from back home, all barefoot in the sand. We both wore dresses: Sofia's was ivory silk that hugged her curves, mine of soft lace that fluttered in the breeze, the fabric sheer enough to hint at my body beneath. Gabby stood beside me, my matron of honor, as we waited in a shaded pavilion, her hand on her belly, feeling a kick. "Any day now," she said with a grin. "Imamu's already planning the nursery like it's a palace." When the music swelled, a soft lyre and violin weaving Mediterranean magic, Sofia and I walked down the aisle hand in hand. We exchanged our vows - ending with our lips meeting in a kiss that tasted of salt and forever - under the fading sun.

The reception kicked off with a feast: platters of souvlaki and tzatziki, wine flowing like the sea itself. As dusk painted the sky in purples and golds, the dancing began - lively circles under string lights, bodies swaying to a mix of traditional bouzouki and modern beats. Sofia and I stole moments, her lips on my neck, hands wandering under the tables to tease the hem of my dress. Dad, with Sofia's father at his side, toasted to "daughters who chose boldly," and I saw the quiet relief in their eyes, the acceptance of my happiness eclipsing the ache of my distance.

During a private moment with Sofia's Dad, he told me how proud he was for Sofia to have chosen me and how grateful he was to have me as his daughter-in-law. "I certainly hope that you and Sophia decide to start a family" he said to me. "Grandchildren would be something that my wife and I would want most dearly." I wrapped my arms around him while he held me tight, and kissed him on the cheek. I then looked deeply into his eyes. "Not to worry," I replied. "I promise not to disappoint you."

After the cake - layers of almond and honey, smeared playfully on each other's fingers - and the night wound down, Gabby, ever the spark, suggested a private toast in the villa's beachside cabana, just the three of us - sisters and the woman who'd become family.

We slipped away, the bump making Gabby move slower. The cabana was open to the elements, gauzy curtains billowing, a low daybed piled with cushions overlooking the dark waves.

Gabby produced a sealed box from Imamu, and gave it to Sofia and me, with a request to open it. Inside were two Heavenly Bracelets - the one that Sofia surrendered when she left, and another for me. Included was a letter from Imamu. His message congratulated Sofia and me on our marriage, and his appreciation to us for sharing our lives with him - even for a short while. "While you may have found each other, and started your wonderful lives together," he wrote, "to me - you will always be Heavenly Women. I present to you an open invitation - for the both of you to come to Heavenly to visit - and stay at anytime - as long as you like. Make sure to wear your bracelets." Sofia and I were touched by Imamu's generosity. We told Gabby we accepted his generous offer and will come visit shortly after Gabby gives birth.

"To new beginnings," Gabby said, raising a glass of sparkling water while Sofia and I sipped champagne. The air was warm, heavy with the scent of night-blooming jasmine. "I'm so happy for you both - this new life you have together" Gabby said. "Sofia, you feel more like my sister than a sister-in-law to me now. Sofia responded "Thank you Gabby, that's so sweet." Gabby continued: "Our lives have changed so much this past year. Heavenly is my new home and my life now. But fuck Katey, I miss dragging you into trouble."
