Heaven Sent
"Wh-what, HUH?!" Vivian was at a loss. She was suspect of Derren actually having divine power but now that she died, traveled back in time, and then met angels, well, there was no denying the existence of god at this point. It left her utterly lost for words.
"I am very sorry but we haven't the time to wait for you to process this so pay attention. As I said before my name is Michelle. These are my three sisters, Gabriella, Auriel, and Rafaella. We are here to stop Derren Smith and to do that we are here to help you."
A wicked smile crept across Vivian's face as she processed the words of these otherworldly beings.
"Hahaha! Excellent! I knew that I was too important to die a fools ****. I also knew the loser Derren was manipulating fate. No way was he supposed to be a god in this world." Vivian beamed.
"So, when are you going to smite that bastard!" Vivian asked
"If we could smite his we'd have done so as soon as his antics had come on our radar." Michelle sighed.
"And we wouldn't have had to revive you if we could do this ourselves." Auriel said with a touch of annoyance in her voice.
"Well, I guess I can't complain too much about this since you did save me. So, what do I need to do to assist?" Vivian asked.
"We can't interfere with a new god candidate directly or we risk tearing space time and the collapse of the universe." Gabriella explained.
"Additionally the god candidate Derren's actions have expedited the closing of our god's cycle. We were not prepared for our cycle to end so quickly and it has weakened our powers greatly." Rafaella continued.
"As such each of us shall grant you a boon, although you have already used one so you will have to make due with three gifts. We hope you use these gifts wisely and save not only yourself, all the gods in this current world. We are counting on you Vivian Rathford, you are the hope of Heaven and Earth!" Michelle proclaimed.
"Wait, how could I have used a gift already?" Vivian expressed her confusion.
"My gift of healing was used to heal the scars of the Earth that followed your demise. This resulted in reverting time back to this morning, before your costly error forfeited your life." Rafaella spoke angelically.
"That's it! I only get one redo and I already used it! I thought you were arch angles!" Vivian huffed.
"SILENCE!" Michelle thundered causing Vivian to recoil.
"It is not our preference to have had to resurrect you in such a way. We'd have intervened sooner if we had been more aware of your foolishness." Michelle spat at Vivian. She glared down at her as if looking at trash. Vivian was too nervous to get offended by the angles slight.
"As we have stated, our powers are dimming. Unfortunately, that means we cannot offer as much help as we'd desire. A time shift of that magnitude has exhausted my powers I cannot assist you any longer." Rafaella lamented.
"I-I understand." Vivian thought to object again. Tried to squeeze one more advantage from the depleted arch angle, but thought better of angering them further and bit her tongue.
"Enough delay. We three remaining angles will present our boons. Use them well and we may all survive this ordeal." Michelle proclaimed.
"I shall grant unto you the gift of Eden! You may choose any one place on this Earth to be your paradise. No other god may interfere with you and you will create it's rules. Choose wisely as you may only choose once and you be in danger in any other location." Michelle pronounced as a glow of power washed over Vivian.
"I shall grant the gift of repentance! You may revert the effects of the god candidates powers on any person of your choosing. Unfortunately, I can only grant this boon once. Our fate rests on your decisions, choose wisely!" Auriel pronounced.
"Our last gift to you is the gift of revelation. You shall receive three divine messages from myself. Head these warning and prophecies, and you may yet maintain the world's order." Gabriella Proclaimed.
"Head my first revelation! Beware of those you hold close!" Gabriella warned.
"What the fuck! That's so vague! You can't be any fucking clearer!?" Vivian barked clearly unhappy with this so called boon. The angles' glare after her remark sent a shiver down her spine and she retreated quickly.
"Vivian Rathford! You have been chosen by god for a higher calling. Success will guarantee all our survival and your life will be filled with all you desire. Failure is not an option. Make proper use of our gifts and serve a higher purpose! Defeat Derren Smith!" With this demand the angles vanished in a flash.
Vivian was overwhelmed with emotions as her head still spun from what transpired. Relief that her life had not been lost. Fear of the divine (even more than she already felt before). Glee that the literal heavens saw fit to grant her this opportunity to fight back. Finally she was pissed that her gifts were so limited and, in the case of the last gift, vague.
Nonetheless she got out of bed ready to restart the day. She knew exactly where her battle would begin. Her Eden was obvious, after all, she was already a queen there. The same place her battle ended will now be where her battle started anew.
A spark of power erupted from her and floated away. Vivian smiled as her eden took root in the only place Vivian could think to put it.
Her high school was now her paradise. Her heaven on Earth.
God had recognized her. As she suspected all her life she was destined for greatness!
"Hahahahahaha!! I'm coming for you, you fucking bastard!" Vivian Smith laughed and smiled a self righteous smile. She so looked forward to wiping the smirk off Derren's face today.
With that the newly fanged Vivian prepared for her war.
"She can't have been our best option." Rafaella groaned."She was our only option." Michelle lamented.
"Why!?" Rafaella complained.
"I am confused as well. Try as I might I never see her live past her 30s. Most of the time her debauchery gets the better of her and she succumbs to her own vices." Gabriella prophesied.
"Indeed, but it is her child that will be important, not her. In the meantime she needs to survive, as do we. Like it or not we need her to survive this ordeal. She will need to be our champion." Michelle stated.
"Excuse me for interjecting with a crass human expression, but I believe we're fucked." Auriel hung her head low.
"Have faith my sisters. A miracle will occur because it must!" Michelle stated.
With that the angle ascended to heaven to watch the battle unfold.
