Heading back

Leaving the salon behind, Mabelle felt on cloud nine.

"Better now?" Caroline inquired and Mabelle nodded. Turning her focus in the direction of the Maple household, she could just make out Carol in the distance. Sitting in what looked to be a rocker, a tiny part of her felt jealous of the elderly woman. Perhaps it would be best if she got herself a rocking chair of her own. That way, they could match.

"Yeah." Mabelle answered as she shifted her grip on the shopping bags. Wouldn't want to drop any of them right before they reached their destination. Yet, that didn't stop her thoughts from turning to that of Carol. While introduced as her 'grandmother', she now looked more like her sister. Or at least, the younger sister.

All the more reason

"Welcome back." Carol greeted, every part of her elderly self on full display here. While Mabelle wouldn't say she was jealous as she had been before shopping, those feelings were very much there. Taking root, she knew she needed to work on that part of her mind. "How did it go?"

Yet, the elderly coordinator cracked a smile.

"Quite good." she answered and shifted her grip on the shopping bags. Heading past Carol and her rocking chair, Mabelle waited a moment for Caroline to catch up. Partially because she had the other shopping bags, but also because she was bound to be able to door far easier. Which is exactly what her companion. "Thank you, dear."

Caroline nodded, trying to obscure her red cheeks. Stepping through, she made a beeline for her room. There, her transformation would begin in earnest.
