Heading North

Deciding that getting your Journey underway is best you make your way North, out of Sandgem town onto Route 202, and towards Jubilife, the path up the hill to the city is winding, but if all goes well you should still make it before nightfall. You make your way out of town and see several trainers, and travelers alike making their way up and down the trail.

Of course! It's the afternoon and more people will be travelling the trail in both directions, whether for food, business, or training purposes, people are all around you, Shrugging at the new reality you head forwards, people will be all over the trails going forwards as well, and plentiful in the cities, there aren't nearly as many trainers in these parts as there are on the Eastern side of the Sinnoh region, and that works in your favor.

The sun overhead is hotter than in the shaded paths you've grown accustomed to, but you power on, turning left and heading towards the first of many patches of tall grass that will block your path. You enter the tall grass, bringing one of your Poke Balls from your belt to your hand, expanding its size to be ready for use. A few seconds later your suspicions are confirmed as a wild Bidoof bursts forth from the grass before you. A quick flick of the wrist and Starly flutters before his grounded opponent.

One slaughter later you are headed further into the grass your Pokémon stronger for your efforts. Nothing else jumps out at you in the next 10 minutes and around the time you're really prepared for an ambush you exit to the other side of the tall grass. Stepping out of the grass you let out a sigh, with so many people about you're certain that the number of wild Pokémon has lessened compared to what it may have been. You break from your thoughts to notice a man looking your way. He notices the Pokedex on your hip and approaches. You tense up, preparing for your first real Pokémon battle.

"A Pokedex huh? That means you're a certified trainer." The man smiles grabbing a Poke Ball from his belt and leering at your body. "Battle me." Feigning confidence you reply.

"Don't cry too much when you lose!" The man snickers and sends out his first Pokémon.

"Go Starly!" You visibly relax. His Starly looks weaker than yours.

"Go Starly!" You decide to respond in kind, time to see whether your first impression was correct. "Starly fly above him and dive in using Wing Attack!" You call out.

"Starly, Tackle hers when it comes close!" His call is poor, and soon you see the merits of having trained so much this morning on Route 201. Wing attack does enormous damage and his Starly misses yours with tackle as your Starly flies out of the way.

"Starly, Quick Attack!" Your Pokémon responds to your call flying at much higher speed and slamming into the other Starly, knocking it out. Out of Pokémon the man curses, throwing your victory money on the ground, he storms off angrily. You stop, and pick up the money he threw and pocket another 80PD. You smile and for a moment joy overwhelms you. You jump a bit in your excitement drawing a few eyes as your breasts bounce. You've won your first battle, made a decent clip of money, and have avoided being used by an angry and violent man. The overwhelming victory against the older man seems to dissuade other nearby trainers from challenging you. Smiling you head further onto Route 202.
