Head up the brighter passage

You walk into the brighter passage and it immediately starts angling up. It opens out into an airy cave entrance with a small fire burning there. A stack of wood is off to one side. You take a log and put it on the fire. Sparks stream up and out of the cave mouth.

You look out over a wild landscape. Trees you don't recognize, birds you don't recognize, animals you don't recognize. It's not a jungle, but the undergrowth is pretty thick and the temperature is hot. A little to the left is a large pond that fades into a swampy area.

You see a smoking volcano in the distance. You hear a weird animal noises down a path to the left. You hear a scream from a path straight out from the cave. The wind comes from the right and you can smell something sweet down a path in that direction.
