Head towards the water

Items: Corked Bottle, Rope

I decided I would try heading towards the water. Maybe if I followed it, it would lead me to some way into Darkness's Castle. After a few minutes of walking. I came to a bank on the river. I looked around. There was a current in the river that stirred it up enough that I couldn't see under it. One the other side of the river, I could see a stone path that lead into a patch of trees. Maybe that was a path to the castle. It was the only real way to go anyway. The brush on the bank was so thick, I couldn't go left or right along the river.

There was a small wood boat on the bank though. I went to check it out. The oars were inside, I could use it to get across the river. There was a problem though. The boat had a pretty big hole in the bottom. However, it was small enough that I could probably plug it with the cork in my bottle. I pulled the cork out and shoved it into the hold. Perfect fit!!! I looked at the bottle, without the cork, I wasn't sure how useful the bottle would be so I decided to just leave it. Well, the boat was good. Should I row across or should I check the other path towards the mountain.
