Head toward the base while avoiding the bimbos

You glance back at the base, you can still see it from here, but only because it's so big, you're still really far away. "We need to get back there, we won't make it out here once it's dark." Everyone sighs but agrees as you turn around and start heading back to the base. This time you make sure to avoid the group of bimbos out front.

You eventually reach the spot you stayed at when you called Alexis last time. You look out for the bimbos and find... A lot of people, but no bimbos. Around the whole area are trucks and soldiers roaming around without a bimbo in sight. This is perfect, they must've come out as backup!

You all pick up the pace and head to the soldiers, waving at them and yelling to them that you aren't infected.

When you all get in range someone from the crowd of soldiers walks forward to greet you. She's a young woman that doesn't look any older than 30 "Halt!"

You stop a little more than 10 feet away from her. "My name is Sergeant Carter, I was sent here when those stationed outside sent a distress signal. When contacted they mentioned multiple civilians with them before being overwhelmed. Are you those civilians?"

Her directness throws you off guard. "Uhh, yeah?"

"So you have an infected with you?"

You feel a spike of adrenaline when she asks you that. "Yeah we do... But she's not fully infected! We were hoping you could help her before she turns completely." You say.

The Woman looks over at Alexis. "Well, she's obviously pretty far along already, can I ask when she was infected?"

"Uhhh, yesterday, a little more than 24 hours ago, I swear she isn't a risk yet."

The Woman sighs and calls someone over. "We have four civilians and one infected civilian. Take the infected civilian to level 4, I'll take care of the rest."

The male soldier nods before signaling multiple others in hazmat suits over. They walk up to Alexis and guide her away. You look at eachother and you nod, trying to give her some kind of hope despite not knowing where they're taking her.

"Now, you four follow me." The woman says before turning around and towards a vehicle. You all squeeze in the back despite the fact that there's only 3 seats as the woman and another soldier take up the front.

"Where did they take Alexis?" Cammie asks.

"That's classified."

"I heard you say level 4."

The soldiers don't respond, leaving the rest of the ride quiet. You stare out the window until you reach the front gate. Once inside you see all sorts of activity, soldiers running around frantically and people panicking. Apparently a lot of other people came here, looks like they have their hands full...

You eventually reach a building that is a bit more separated from the rest before getting out of the car. The woman leads you inside and tells you that you need to stay here for a couple days. "This is where we keep new civilians entering the base, think of it as a kind of quarantine. You and anyone else that's just arrived stay here and we make sure none of you turn into a bimbo all of a sudden. Once we decide you're clear we can move you to a more permanent area."

You frown at this, you really want to know what they did with Alexis but you doubt they'd let you know now.

"Our first group of civilians just left, as you probably saw with all the commotion back there. So for now you'll be the only ones here, but expect it to get more crowded."

The woman leaves you with some other soldiers that lead you into the facility. They have you bathe before giving you all fresh clothes. Once they determine you're ready they lead you to your room. Looks like you'll all have to share, this place is tiny, with two bunk beds taking up a lot of the room.

"I was better off at the farm..." Anita says with a sigh as she walks over to one of the bottom bunks and lays down.

"At least this place is safer, I'm just glad there's still some actual civilization left. I know it's only been a few days but still..." Cammie says as she climbs above Anita to the top bunk.

Chloe turns to give you a hug before taking the other bottom bunk, leaving you with the top. You climb up and lay down. This bed sucks... But you're starting to get tired anyway.
