Head to the smoking area

"Yeah, I'm up a smoke, if you're cool with that," you say.

"Perfect," she nods.

You quickly head down the stairs and out of the dorm, walking around to the back. You find the smoking area empty, thankfully, so you lean up against a wall. Sliding a cigarette out of your pocket, you press it to your lips, pulling out a lighter and bringing a flame to life. You dip the end of your cigarette into the flame, lighting it. You inhale, before blowing smoke out of the corner of your mouth.

"Want one?" you ask, offering her a cigarette.

"Uh... I don't know," Caoimhe says, as you take a long drag.

"What, don't like the taste of ash and cancer?" you joke.

"Did you know each cigarette reduces your life by eleven minutes?" Caoimhe says matter of factly.

You take the cigarette out of your mouth, staring at the glowing embers that float from the end.

"What, eleven minutes less of bingo when I'm old and grey? Another great advantage of cigarettes," you grin.

"Fine, give me a puff," Caoimhe says.

"I don't want to give you a taste for them, especially if you've never had them."

"I've had them before!" Caoimhe says defensively.

"If you want it, you're going to have to take it," you smile, before putting it to your lips and inhaling again.

Caoimhe smiles, moving in close to you. She gently pushes you against the wall, her hand plucking the cigarette from your mouth. She smiles, taking it and putting it between her lips.

"Alright, enjoy it," you say.

Caoimhe inhales, before immediately bursting into a fit of coughing.

"Jesus, you are a veteran smoker," you laugh, taking the cigarette from her hand and taking another drag.

"Jesus..." she says, **** for a breath. "How do you handle those?"

"Like this," you say, taking another drag.

"God, I'm fine for that," Caoimhe says.

"So..." you say, blowing smoke into the air as the sun begins to set. "How'd you get into theater?"

"When I was younger, I always liked singing and dancing at that, so I got into it. Plus, I was pretty big into Disney films and musicals. Not much of a story, really."

"Yet you're neither singing nor dancing in the play," you point out.

"Yeah, I'm not really good at singing or dancing," Caoimhe shrugs. "I still like the plays, though. You know, writing them, producing them, organizing them."

"Yet again, you didn't write this play," you say.

"Beth also likes to write. We flipped a coin. So what about you, do you like any musicals?"

"Uh... I guess I watched all the Disney films as a kid. I really liked Rocky Horror Picture Show."

"Oh, really? I'd have liked to do that for the play, but you know... against school rules."

"Yeah, I get that. Anyway, I only got into it because a pretty girl asked me to."

"Oh, really?" Caoimhe asks, leaning in. "And what's this pretty girl like?"

"She's really cool," you say, putting an arm around Caiomhe. "She's cute, and fun and smart."

"Well, I think she..." she begins to say, before two girls round the corner with cigarettes hanging in their mouths.

"Shit," you wince, as the girls stop.

"Are you two OK?" one of them asks.

"Uh, yeah," Caoimhe says.

"Perfect," you say. "Do you want to find somewhere more private, Caoimhe?"

"I know Beth has a bottle of Jack Daniels in the room.It's nearly nightfall, we could wait until the sun's down and sneak out to the lake, if you want."

"Perfect," you smile.
