Quickly returning to your room, you grab your keys to the apartment before reaching for the phone. You quickly dial your work number and get your boss.
"Mrs. Alan, I ate some bad shellfish last night and can't come in today."
Your boss gives a slight moan of sadness. "That's okay, sweetie. Take some time off.
Gary will cover for you. Hopefully you'll be back to work soon."
Hanging up the phone, you put the keys in your robe's pocket and head out to the living room. You spot a watch on the floor near the couch and grab it as you leave the apartment. Locking the door behind you, you hurry over to the apartment where the mouse walked into. You hear some noise but are unable to make out what it is through the door.
