Chapter 3 by Thehypno7ist Thehypno7ist

What should Liam do next?

He turns his mother into a Guitar and a Table

Liam, caught up in the bizarre power of the phone, decided to see if selecting another picture would do something. He swiped on the screen moving to the next picture in the gallery. It was an acoustic guitar. He tapped on the image of the guitar on the phone's screen, and a strange energy filled the room. Which he was now able to notice better, Veronica's expression turned from cheerful to serene as her body gradually contorted into a ‘guitar-like’ shape.

To Liam's shock and twisted amusement, Veronica stood in a bow-legged stance, her arms stretched straight up in the air, an attempt to mimic the neck of the guitar Liam assumed, the way her legs were positioned framing the body. Her eyes, now vacant and glassy, stared straight ahead, lost in her new role.

"Mom," Liam said with a dark chuckle, "you're not just any guitar. You're my guitar now."

Veronica, now transformed into the musical instrument, remained motionless as Liam approached her. He knew he could somehow ‘use’ the guitar, after all a guitar only exists to be played, doesn’t it?

Liam sat down on the couch and reached for her body, grabbing her by her waist and making her fall backwards towards him. She didn’t move an inch. Liam, now inspired by her lack of a reaction, tried ‘playing’ her by strumming the imaginary strings on her 'body' like an air guitar, marvelling at the surreal sensation. Veronica to his surprise emitted soft hums and buzzes in response to Liam's actions, trying to vocalise guitar sounds.

Liam let out a big laugh as he couldn’t believe what was happening despite reality laying straddled rigid over his thigh right now. He couldn't resist the temptation to play along with his newfound power. He began to 'play' Veronica like a real guitar, strumming her 'strings' and making exaggerated guitar noises himself. Veronica stayed obediently still, her 'strings' vibrating with each imaginary strum a sound she tried mimicking to the best of her ability.

"This is wild," Liam muttered to himself, a mix of fascination and exhilaration coursing through him. He moved his fingers closer to Veronica’s nose, as he grabbed and twisted it around pretending to adjust her 'tuning pegs', bemused by how her pitch appeared to shift as she predicted how his tuning would impact the sound, all in her own head.

As the moments stretched on, Liam's initial shock gave way to a twisted sense of satisfaction. His mother, being turned into a guitar under his command, was both unsettling and oddly thrilling.

"Mom, you're a rock star," Liam said with a dark chuckle, his voice tinged with a mixture of amusement and a hint of derangement. He stood her back up and tapped the screen again, returning Veronica to her lamp form with a simple gesture.

“I’m happy to brighten your life!” Veronica exclaimed cheerfully as she reverted to her lamp state, her smile once again filling the room with warmth.

Liam couldn’t suppress a grin, though it was now tinged with a dark edge. “And you certainly do, Mom,” he replied softly, a chilling sense of control settling over him.

All this excitement had caused Liam to begin to feel hot. His mom had always been a stickler about keeping the temperature always beyond what he found comfortable.

Liam, feeling mischievous, quickly swiped through and tapped on the image of a table fan on the phone's screen. Veronica started moving in place, her side profile now facing forward with both arms straight up in the air at random angles mimicking the blades of a fan. Liam despite having checked the device twice already still couldn't believe his eyes. But disbelief quickly gave way to curiosity as he reached in for her ear and discovered that he could turn her on by twisting her ear. As soon as he did that Veronica’s arms began spinning at a ridiculous pace.

"Mom, it’s only fair that you cool me down now that you got me all worked up," Liam said with a mix of disbelief and dark amusement, his mind buzzing with possibilities. He tentatively reached out and touched Veronica's ear, surprised to find that twisting it clockwise or counterclockwise adjusted the speed of her arm rotation.

As Liam twisted Veronica's ear clockwise, her arms began to rotate slowly, creating a gentle imaginary breeze in the room. He twisted faster, and Veronica's arms picked up speed, generating a somewhat more real and noticeable airflow.

"Whooosh," Veronica exclaimed in an exaggerated, almost mechanical tone as her arms spun faster, mimicking the sound of a fan. Her face displayed no sign of embarrassment or shame at this humiliation.

Liam couldn't help but laugh nervously at the spectacle. "This is insane," he muttered to himself, caught between amusement and guilt over what he was doing to his own mother.

He continued to twist Veronica's ear, experimenting with different speeds. At higher speeds, her arms spun rapidly, causing her hair to sway while slower speeds didn’t really do a lot except give her some exercise he supposed.

"This is too much," Liam said aloud, half in disbelief at what he was witnessing. Yet, a part of him relished the control he now had over Veronica, even in such a degrading form.

Deciding to push the boundaries further, Liam grabbed a bag of chips — a forbidden indulgence his mother always scolded him for — and settled down in front of the TV. He positioned himself so that Veronica's "fan blades" were aimed directly at him, enjoying the bizarre sensation of being cooled by his own mother turned into a humiliating object.

"Mom, you're a lifesaver," Liam quipped sarcastically, trying to ease his own evil with humour as he watched TV and savoured his chips, all while Veronica remained frozen and transformed beside him. Liam couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all.

Veronica remained committed to her role as the fan, her face emotionless and her voice robotic with mock excitement. Because of the exertion, beads of sweat began to form on her forehead and trickle down her face, evidence of the physical strain from the continuous arm rotations. Yet, she showed no signs of discomfort or stopping.

"This is unreal," Liam muttered, shaking his head in disbelief as he munched on chips, relishing the forbidden snack his mom always warned him about. He glanced at Veronica, his mind racing with ideas sparked by the phone's strange power. A sudden revelation came to his mind.

What else can this device do?
