****, Hunter tried to will the transformation to reverse. For a moment there was no change, then he felt his body relaxing, the contortions smoothing until he was left sprawling on the floor panting with exertion.

He looked at himself, seeing a pelt of coarse dark hairs covering his body. His legs were large and powerful, like those of a big dog, with heavy clawed paws for feet. He held a hand up and saw thick strong fingers tipped by black claws. With a groan he pushed himself to his feet, standing easily on his modified legs.

This must be the humanised wolf form that Dunnigan had mentioned, Hunter thought. He had managed to halt the full transformation, but not reversed it. He looked at the flash still shining on his desk and considered using it to try to return to human form.
