He sits with Debby (the nerdy-looking brunette)

Matt decided to sit next to Debby.

Debby smiled at him briefly, then brought her hand up to cover her mouth. Clearly she was embarrassed by her braces. Matt wondered why her parents didn't get the invisible kind of braces but quickly rejected the idea of asking her. Debby is obviously already sensitive to the issue and bringing it to her attention is unlikely to have happy results.

"Hey Debby," he whispers. "You look fantastic."

Fantastic might be a slight exaggeration but not a big one. She'd done something to her hair so, instead of frizzy it was smooth and shiny. And her outfit, a pair of hip-hugging jeans-shorts cut low enough that she must have done some serious grooming not to have pubic hair on display plus a halter top that showed her breasts to good effect, definitely got Matt's attention.

"Thanks. Uh, you look nice also."

Yeah, right. Matt had tried to get the blood out of his t-shirt during the break between classes but that had left it all wrinkled. And he had bruises on his head where Jordan had rammed him into the wall. Still, it said something that Debby was trying.

"Can you look at my homework before Ms. Chadra collects it?" Debby whispered. "I hear you're really good at this."

Since he'd failed the last time he'd taken this class he wasn't sure where she would have heard that. Still, it couldn't hurt to be friendly. "Sure."

She passed the paper from under her desk, her hand briefly brushing against his thigh as she tried to be surreptitious. The paper snagged when it ran into his hardon and Debbi blushed. "Uh, sorry."

"No problem." He took the paper and scanned it quickly. Sure enough, Debbi had made an error, inverting the sine and cosine. He quickly penciled in the correction... and looked up to see Ms. Chadra staring at him.
