He says her gloves were loaded

“…I think her gloves were loaded,” Billy said, **** for an excuse and defaulting to the first thing on his mind. The very thing that started all of this.

Billy winced. He didn’t like the implications of this lie, but he had said it now. He couldn’t go back. All the same, “admitting” that he got KO’d by a milf with loaded gloves was better than the alternative… Which was that he had been KO’d by a milf with loaded gloves so many times, as well as taking one on the chin from his own little sister, that Rae had been able to beat him fair and square. Suffering one loss to a cheater was a much better look than admitting to his legit milf knockout.

“You’re right,” he continued. “She shouldn’t have been able to knock… Ummm… You know. And her punches felt harder. I think she was cheating.”

Lucy took a step back, and considered this. She looked somewhat relieved that have an answer that wasn’t “my star pupil is a fucking scrub”, but the weight of his words wasn’t lost on her either.

“That’s a big accusation, Billy. But it does make sense… Are you SURE she was wearing loaded gloves?”

He was sure she wasn’t. Rae had just been the better boxer, thanks to how woozy his little sister’s KO had rendered him. All the same…

“…Yes,” he said, staring at the floor.

Lucy searched his eyes. With a breath, she nodded, apparently finding sincerity in his face.

“Well, leave it to me, Billy. I’ll make sure she faces an appropriate punishment,” Lucy said, taking this matter very seriously.

A cheating knockout like that was a big deal. It could permanently weaken Billy - it could affect his future. Hell, physical damage of the finishing blow aside - finally taking his first knockout loss in a setting like that, to an older woman like Rae, could irreparably damage his confidence. The experience could leave him gun-shy and wrecked. It wasn’t acceptable. Cheating in a combat sport is no different to ****, and if this woman had in any way damaged Billy’s incredible potential…

“For a start, I can get her blacklisted from school events from here on, once I tell everyone that-“

“W-Wait,” Billy stopped her. “You can’t. You can’t tell everyone, or they’ll all know that I… That she…”

He gulped. A shudder ran through his body as he finished his sentence.

“…Everyone will know that she knocked me out,” he finished. Lucy scrunched up her face.

“Well, yes, but - Billy, she cheated! It doesn’t matter that she knocked you out.”

“Please, Coach Lucy. I have a reputation. An… Aura of invincibility,” Billy pleaded with her. “If people hear I got knocked out by a retired mom, they won’t care that she used to box, or that she was cheating. Please… This could ruin me.”

Lucy sighed in frustration. He was right. The information of the knockout could damage his future just as much as the knockout itself. But she still felt that Rae needed to face some form of justice…

“…I understand, Billy,” she said. “I won’t do anything public. You can go back to your class now, I’ll… figure something out.”

Billy nodded, thankful, and left Lucy’s office. She sighed again. She hated to see him like that. The mental humiliation he must be suffering, to be on top of the world one day, and publicly knocked out by an older woman the next…

Still, if anyone could recover, it was Billy. He was tougher than anyone she knew. But Lucy was still quite protective of him, as her star pupil. And she needed to make sure that Rae faced consequences for her little stunt.

What was she thinking, coming to the seminar with a pair of loaded gloves? Knocking him out like that? Was the bitch trying to relive her glory years, no matter who got hurt? Lucy had never heard anybody at the school complain about Rae before, but this was serious…

Lucy considered her options. Maybe she needed to set up a meeting between Heather and Rae, to discuss the knockout and what was to be done about it. Keep things private, but not just let Rae get away with it. That might be the best option for now.
