Chapter 2

So what will Haru do today?

He saw someone flying past him...

DAY 1

As soon as Haru walks out of his little comfortable abode, he suddenly felt lost...being new to this village, of course he has no idea where are the interesting places he can seek his...indulgences. Or any beautiful sights to ponder and watch. With no one nearby or anything happening near to him...he can't do anything other than walking towards the village itself and ask around for tips and suggestions...

But before Haru could start walking towards the village on his left, he heard a distant muttering, "shitshitshitshit I'm gonna be late!!!" At first Haru couldn't pinpoint where does the sound come from...until he notices a rapidly moving shadow the shape of a dragon about to pass by his home, which prompt Haru to look upwards. Above the sky-blue clouds, a light-blue furred dragon soared past him like a swallow, still muttering about how he's gonna be late and how the damages will be massive. Except for the colour, deep voice indicating he's a male, and the fact that flying personnel is a dragon, he couldn't make out other features that will be memorable, nor did he have the time to stop and introduce himself to Haru.

Curious, Haru looks at the direction he's flying to before he disappears out of sight, and he seems to head to the north-west of his position rapidly. Finally having an answer to his dilemma, he decides to follow him and started running. Being a Kirin, his species' natural affinity is speed, and thus he quickly bounded towards the blue dragon's direction faster than a falcon diving towards its prey, and within 5 minutes, he has finally arrived towards his destination: Greenheights' wind farms, which is located outskirts of Greenheights on the north west, positioned on a plateau overlooking the village and the valley.

Haru isn't sure why does Greenheights have a need for wind farms when their methane farms, powered by the resident's massive amounts of waste (so he heard), is more than enough to power the entire village alone. But that doesn't matter now. He is more in awe looking at the sight beholding him: that of a light-blue dragon fighting with flocks of large flying species of insects which he assume must be a pest around this valley.

And that's not just any fight at all...the light-blue dragon was ferociously grabbing and swallowing the flying, dog-sized, what seems to be a mantis-moth hybrid wholesale! And it seems that during Haru's journey towards the windfarm, the light-blue dragon had already worked up with few of the pests there as he notices his belly bulging to unnaturally large size. Said massively bloating belly is also squirming around violently, with the insects presumably trying to fly out of their cramped, dark, slimy demise. It's a wonder, Haru thought, he could still be airborne fighting off the razor sharp claws of the pests while snatching and voring them like a snack. There are also occasionally bumps appearing on the light blue-dragon's stomach, which Haru assumes it's the pests trying to cut their way out, but the dragon has an unnaturally armored stomach it seems, as it doesn't bother him the slightest at all, nor does it allow the insects an easy escape by cutting through it either.

Haru snapped out of his daze from the initial fascination of the light-blue dragon's method of pest removal, and while it seems he could handle a lot of it...Haru has a feeling that eventually his stomach contents will hit their limits and he will find difficulty being airborne to chase away the pests, or he will be too immobile to avoid the razor claws of the pests. He must think quick...

What should Haru do to help the light-blue dragon fella?
