He looks for a cure

Mark may not have looked the part, but he had a decent understanding of medical science. It was enough to realize that if he wanted to stop this pandemic early, he needed to find a cure.

Using his knowledge of the future to win some lottery tickets, he rented out a lab around the south of the city. There he drew a bit of his blood and inspected it in a microscope, peering closely to see if he could observe a trace of the virus he was aiming to fight. While in most ideals he wouldn't want to be infected, this time he needed to be or he wouldn't be able to find a cure until too late.

Luckily their seemed to be a small bit of it in his blood, which was just what he needed to find a cure. The virus was stored safely in a vault, and the next day he would go on to start tests on it.

Or at least, that was the plan.

In the middle of the night, when no one was awake to spot her, a young female spy made her way into the vault. Without triggering any alarms she cut a hole into the side, grabbed the vial containing the virus, and escaped.

The spy was a woman by the name of Annie, and she was hired by a certain person to get this virus no matter what. She didn't know much about who hired her, or how they knew that a virus would be here, but she sent it to them through the mail and got her pay, and that was all that mattered.
