"Someone framed us?"

"Happens more than you would think actually," said Jean as he patted his friend's shoulder. The captain nodded in agreement.

"Seems there was a bit of a tustle in town and someone decided to use our good name to their advantage. The town people know us and by the time we get back to port they won't care. We might have to be on guard though. If the Veer are after us, then something really big is going on."

"Yeah I saw that. It is really odd that the Veer would be involved with something here in Freeport."

"Yeah but not our concern. Oh by the way, the woman standing behind Jean is Kista. She'll be staying in the room you used last night and we'll be moving your girls to a larger room soon. By the way, you have told Gromlin's daughter what her duties will be after they have had a few days to get used to the sea right?"

Tir shifted nervously and looked down.

"You made it pretty clear to Kara last night, but I haven't said anything about it to Carmine yet."

Roland sighed and shook his head.

"Don't keep it from her much longer. She has to know you've made her into a whore. Which I should add that you will be compensated for allowing her to be used by the crew. Kara's contract is limited so she has more choice in this than Carmine, but you now own Carmine for life or until you release her from the contract. She has made herself your **** and you reap the benefits that would have been hers. Even still, she has a right to know."

Tir nodded, knowing the captain was right. Even though this was the reason he had gotten her, he found himself regretting a little that he had to share either of the girls. He didn't understand how they had already started to become attached to his heart. He wasn't certain that he could allow them to be used the entire trip.
