Chapter 4
by The Rain
What was the boy's plan?
He just wanted to map the place thoroughly.
“Happy birthday, Sandro” whispered the boy on his birthday, when he finally discovered something worth interest. He chuckled. “And what a fine present you were given.”
The cleric smiled when the heavy oak bookcase moved to the side, revealing a hidden passage. He had very little to do but explore during the last few days and made good use of this leisure. Discovering which of the books in the vast library was the lever (and he knew there had to be one) was an exhausting task, but today it finally paid off. It was already dark outside and his feet were a little sore, but he was not about to go and get some rest when the secrets of this estate tempted to unveil before his eyes, so he took a three-branched candelabrum from one of the desks and descended the staircase.
The bookcase moved silently back into place.
Not until only one of the candles was left burning did Sandro realize that maybe it was not such a good idea to enter the labyrinth of Castle Kaltenbach’s hidden tunnels. He didn’t let fear get the better of him, though, and a good way to do this was to focus one’s thoughts on something unrelated to the dire situation one was in at the moment, so he recalled his encounter with duchess Magdalena Weiss earlier this evening…
As the young cleric moved along the quiet corridor, he was too busy inspecting the stone walls – in search of a hidden passage or vault, as usual – to notice the door opening a few steps ahead. The duchess, on the other hand, was too busy making merry conversation with the young man whose room she was now leaving. Since both of them were paying little attention to their surroundings, they bumped into each other and fell to the floor, with Sandro’s face landing neatly between the mounds of the lady’s breasts. They were huge, the boy noticed, much more than a handful and so soft and warm. He snapped out of his daze once he heard the duchess asking if he was having a good time. She didn’t seem upset and he was having a good time, but to admit it would probably mean a swift return to the seminary… at best. Quickly, he helped her get back up, stammering apologies and the like. He tried to brush the bits of dirt from her gown only to realize that he was touching the woman were only her husband should and yet she did nothing but let out a quiet chuckle.
“You shouldn’t be so forward, honey” she whispered into his ear in a way that sent shivers down his spine. “I’m old enough to be your mother… but visit me in my bedroom anytime you want. I will always find the time for a pretty boy like you.”
And then she bit him. Not painfully, mind you, but it was a bite nevertheless. Sandro lifted his hand to his earlobe unconsciously, wondering why it felt so good. It made his manhood throb, which was a sign that it was probably a sin, so he ran away, blushing. Right now it seemed like a very stupid thing to do. No wonder the lady’s laughter followed him down the hall.
The flame of the candle flickered for a brief moment and faded away. The blond-haired boy would have cried for help then, if it weren’t for the tiny ray of light he noticed in the thick darkness ahead. He followed it without a moment’s thought only to discover it was nothing more than a spy hole. “At least I know I’m within other people’s earshot” he thought and took a peek through the hole.
The very moment he pressed his face against the thin wall and looked inside the room behind it, his eyes widened in surprise and he felt the blood rushing to his face.
So... what did he witness?
